Let’s see what’s in the August 2015 Burst Box!
The box was shipped via priority mail and featured a Burst Box logo sticker.
A peek inside! There was no info card, so I’ll just jump right into the products…
Reebok Performance Sport Socks 3-Pack – These socks are made of 97% nylon and 3% spandex for shape retention. They include an “arch gripper” for a secure fit and “moisture management” to keep you dry.
Food Should Taste Good Real Good Bar in Hazelnut Sea Salt – When I saw the chocolate on this bar I assumed it wouldn’t be vegan-friendly… To my surprise, it was! (Well, it does contain honey, which I do eat.) I ate the bar shortly after opening the box and it was ridiculously good. Plenty of nuts, cocoa, and a touch of citrus. Yum!
Reebok CrossFit Wristbands – Since there was no info card, I’m not sure what else to say about these other than “they’re wristbands”. So… Yep. 😉
Dynarex Sensi-Wrap Self-Adherent Bandage Roll – I had to look this up since I wasn’t 100% sure what it was for. Turns out it’s a lightweight compression bandage that doesn’t slip and can be torn without the need for scissors. (Can you tell I’m not an athlete?)
Dr. McDougall’s Cranberry Almond Cereal – I love Dr. McDougall’s! We buy their (his?) soups on a weekly basis. All of their products are vegan-friendly and even my omnivore husband likes ’em. I’ve never tried the cereal, but it looks nice and filling.
Burst Box Towel – A handy little towel made with 100% cotton — perfect to toss in your gym bag.
RAP Protein Gummies – These strawberry flavored gummy candies contain an impressive 20 grams of protein per serving. They’re also fat & gluten free and list whey protein isolate as the first ingredient.
Inspiration – The box also included a recipe for Power House Greens Salad, a “summer run” playlist, and an inspiration print.
Overall, Burst Box seems like a totally useful box for athletes of any performance level. The products were practical and some great brands were featured. I wasn’t able to do a cost breakdown, so I’m not quite sure where this box is value-wise. The monthly cost seems a little steep to me, but then again, I’m not all that familiar with what these types of products sell for. Any athletes wanna help me out? 😉
