I was recently sent one for review, so…
Let’s see what’s in the Julep Star Spangled Beauty box!
A peek inside.
An “invitation”/welcome card included additional info about the subscription and some of the perks you get by becoming a Julep Maven — customization options, full-sized products, discounts, and more!
Paulina – It Girl ($14) – A pretty metallic/chrome polish in a shimmery blue shade. I absolutely love blue polish and was excited to see this included in the box. Love it! I also love that all of these polishes are vegan & 5-free. 🙂
Brigitte – Classic with a Twist ($14) – A crisp, bright white creme that’s perfect for summertime.
Myriam – Classic with a Twist ($14) – Described as a “casino red” creme, this shade is an ideal patriotic red. I love using bold shades like this on my toes. 😉
Kirby – Bombshell ($14) – This wasn’t included in my box due to a warehouse error, but it WILL be included in future boxes. It’s described as a “silver jagged glitter top coat”.
Julep When Pencil Met Gel Long-Lasting Eyeliner ($16) – I usually stick to black liners, but I actually really like this “Bronze Shimmer” shade. It glides on super smooth and has great staying power. (You can see it swatched further down in the review.)
Julep Lip Gloss with Power Cell Complex ($20) – This gloss looks very red, but their site describes it (“Lively”) as a “sheer hot pink shimmer”. It does look a bit more pinkish outside of the tube. The formula is infused with an exclusive “Power Cell Complex” to help hydrate your lips and reduce the signs of aging.
Julep Skip the Brush Creme-to-Powder Blush Stick ($24) – Again, this shade (“Peony Pink”) looks a lot bolder in my photo than it does on the skin. It starts out as a cream and blends into a lasting powder. Just dot on your cheeks, blend with your fingers, and you’re good to go. It can also be used on eyes and lips, if desired.
Here are the swatches: Eyeliner, gloss, blush.
The photo above shows the full set. My box was missing both the glitter polish, as well as the White Chevron Nail Decals ($6). I was notified of this before receiving the box and was assured that regular subscribers will indeed receive the WHOLE set. 🙂
What a great “gift with purchase”! Remember — you can score your own FREE 8-piece ‘Star Spangled’ beauty box (a $122 value) just by signing up for Julep and using coupon code “FIREWORKS” at checkout!
