May 2018 PostBox by Postmark’d Studio review time!
If you haven’t heard, PostBox by Postmark’d Studio is a new subscription box that features artisanal greeting cards and postcards created by artists around the globe. Each box will include 4 greeting cards, 1 postcard, postage stamps, and a fun artsy item such as a pen, pencil, or knick-knack based on that month’s particular theme. The cards are all handcrafted by a variety of different artists/companies, which means you’ll get a nice sampling of unique designs to send to your friends and loved ones.
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
Subscriptions are $30.95/month ($25 + $5.95 shipping), or less with multi-month commitments. — For a limited time, you can get $5 off your first box of a 3-month subscription and receive a FREE “Whalecome” Box with coupon code “2LRB1Free”!
Let’s see what’s in the May 2018 Postmark’d PostBox!
Everything was shipped in a small white box with a Postmark’d Studio logo on top.
A peek inside!
A small handwritten card was enclosed, thanking me for my support.
Fastened to the back of the envelope was this sweet little snail pin.
A 2-sided info card revealed the theme for May’s PostBox — “Llama Mama”! It also listed all of the cards included, along with the artists who made them. The reverse side of the info card let subscribers know that May is National Military Appreciation Month and included information about “A Million Thanks”, a campaign that encourages people to send letters of appreciation to U.S. Military serving around the world.
As always, the items were all neatly stacked together and secured with a pretty ribbon. — I’m loving the fun pom-poms!
Oh, HELLO There! The Ladybug Press/Boise, ID
Send a greeting with an added dose of quirkiness with the help of this whimsical llama card. This charming fella was letterpress printed on tree-free, 100% cotton paper and comes with a bright orange envelope to match his tasseled blanket.
Llama Tell You Farmwood Press/Atlanta, GA
Another llama-themed letterpress card, this one features an illustration that spans the front and carries the design right over onto the back. The text reads “Llama tell you, I miss you lots.”. — An ideal sentiment for a faraway, pun-loving friend. Even more-so if they’re into llamas. 😉
Happy Birthday Paper Parasol Press/San Francisco, CA
This 2-color card allows you to send birthday wishes by way of a demure, flag-toting llama. I love the green and purple color combo. — Great for a springtime birthday!
I llama You Pistachio Press/Cincinnati, OH
While I’m certainly a fan of puns/plays on words, I honestly can’t say I really “get” this card. I mean, it’s clear they’re replacing “love” with “llama”, but I dunno… It seems like a bit of a stretch, no? Welp, my nitpicky-ness aside, I can still appreciate the pair of smitten llamas on this cotton letterpress card.
Skater Llama Paper Wilderness/Long Beach, CA
Llamas need to keep fit too! This postcard duo features a pink shorts wearin’, roller skatin’ llama who’s got her safety in check with a proper helmet & knee pads. You go, llama!
Llama Trinket Tray Danica Studio/Vancouver, BC
This was a fun surprise — a llama trinket tray! Made of glazed stoneware, this lil’ guy is perfect for holding keys, loose change, and small accessories. It measures roughly 3.75 inches wide by 5 inches long. Five bright yellow spiral paperclips were also included to keep him “fed”. 😉
Enough postage was provided to mail six greeting cards. (I’m guessing llama-themed stamps are a little difficult to track down!)
As always, a thick/sturdy Postmark’d Studio postcard was also included — complete with a yellow llama outline, along with a coordinating pencil.
A fun collection of llama-themed cards from PostBox! 🙂 — Remember, for a limited time you can get $5 off your first box of a 3-month subscription and receive a FREE “Whalecome” Box with coupon code “2LRB1Free”!
