January 2018 PostBox by Postmark’d Studio review time!
If you haven’t heard, PostBox by Postmark’d Studio is a new subscription box that features artisanal greeting cards and postcards created by artists around the globe. Each box will include 4 greeting cards, 1 postcard, postage stamps, and a fun artsy item such as a pen, pencil, or knick-knack based on that month’s particular theme. The cards are all handcrafted by a variety of different artists/companies, which means you’ll get a nice sampling of unique designs to send to your friends and loved ones.
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
Subscriptions are $30.95/month ($25 + $5.95 shipping), or less with multi-month commitments. — For a limited time, you can get FREE shipping on your first month with coupon code “2LRBFS”!
Let’s see what’s in the January 2018 Postmark’d PostBox!
Everything was shipped in a small white box with a Postmark’d Studio logo on top.
A peek inside!
As always, the items were all neatly stacked together and secured with a piece of black & white ribbon.
A 2-sided info card revealed the theme for January’s PostBox — “New Year”! It also listed all of the cards included, along with the artists who made them.
The reverse side of the info card highlighted the tradition of mail art and gave details on how to enter an envelope decoration contest.
Happy New Year Bred & Butter Paper Co./Dallas, TX
It’s not too late to wish someone a happy 2018! The clean, black & white printed card features a simple message on the front with plenty of space inside to add your own well wishes for the coming year. It’s paired with a Euro-fold envelope that has a coordinating black and white color scheme.
Black Sheep Gingiber/Springdale, AR
Gingiber is an illustrative paper and homewares shop run by Stacie Bloomfield. She started the company when she was having trouble finding fun artwork for her daughter’s nursery. Her designs are cute enough for kids, yet whimsical enough to appeal to adults as well. This adorable black sheep card is blank inside and works for just about any recipient/occasion.
A Wink Dahlia Press/Seattle, WA
Emoji texts are too easy. Send someone a “real” wink with this hand-illustrated letterpress card printed on 100% cotton paper. It’s blank inside (to explain the reasoning behind your wink-age) and comes with a coordinating Papaya envelope.
Hello Ramona & Ruth/Omaha, NE
This notecard style greeting is printed on extra thick 100% cotton paper and features neon pink painted edges. You can mail it inside of the included envelope, or send it alone as a postcard.
You’re Ze-Best Paper Wolf Design/Oneonta, NY
Let someone know that you appreciate their awesomeness with this whimsical zebra-themed card. It features an original digital illustration of a zebra in rollerskates with the phrase “You’re ze-best” printed below. A lot more fun than a plain ol’ thank you card. 🙂
2018 Calendar When It Rains Paper Co./Atlanta, GA
Oooh! I LOVE this calendar! Not only is it super colorful and easy to read (sometimes the dates on these types of calendars are so tiny!), but it also comes with its own magnetic bullnose clip to display on your fridge/filing cabinet/locker/metal surface of choice. 😉
January’s “artsydoodad” was a black double-sided calligraphy pen (marker). One size features a 1.5mm tip, while the other is 3.0mm. It has acid-free ink and is perfect for creating extra fancy lettering.
Enough postage was provided to mail 5 greeting cards. — January’s selections had an obvious music theme goin’ on.
As always, a thick/sturdy Postmark’d Studio postcard was also included, along with a coordinating pencil.
Another great selection of artisan-made greeting cards from PostBox! — I absolutely LOVE my colorful new calendar! 😀 — Remember, for a limited time, you can get FREE shipping on your first month with coupon code “2LRBFS”!
