*As of December 2015, Citrus Lane is no longer in business. If you’re looking for an alternative, bluum is a great choice. — You can see my reviews of them here. With bluum, you can choose your own products and build your own box. They feature the same great brands, plus you can save $10 on your first month with coupon code “MRVA286CCE“.*
After taking a strange detour from Indiana to New Jersey (and hanging out there for a few days), my May Citrus Lane box finally found its way home.
Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription box for babies/kiddos up to 5 years old. It’s $25/month (or less with 6 or 12-month subs). Shipping is included. Every box contains at least 4 items, tailored towards the age/gender of your child. My box was for a 9-month old girl (well, girls.)
I initially signed up in March, but since April was already sold out, I had to wait until May to get my first box. Being that I’m the most impatient person EVER when it comes to mail, this was a LONG wait. What made it even worse was seeing everyone else’s spoiler pics on Facebook while my box was stuck in NJ throwing back shots with Snooki & JWoww. (I totally just Googled the correct spelling of JWoww. Really thought there was a hyphen in there.)
Alright, onto the review!
I opened the box to find the goodies wrapped up and sealed with a cute little Citrus Lane sticker.
Green Toys Stacker – The first item I pulled out was this neat stacker toy. The girls are finally starting to sit up and crawl around, so this came at the perfect time. I love that this is made from recycled milk jugs and can be cleaned in the dishwasher. Brilliant! Amazon Price: $16.03
“Bear Takes a Trip” from Barefoot Books – Next up was this cute board book. I flipped through it and noticed that it’s much longer than the other board books I have. Definitely a plus. It also has very colorful illustrations and includes a little lesson on telling time. Neat. Amazon Price: $6.29
Happy Munchies Rice Cakes (Blueberry & Beet) – I was very happy to see these in my box. I had seen other reviews that included a different brand of snacks which contained dairy. I’m trying to keep the girls as vegan as possible, so I was very relieved that we got these ones instead. Yay! Amazon Price: $2.99
Dapple Dish Liquid (Travel Size) – I throw everything in the dishwasher these days, so I’m not sure when I’ll use this. I suppose I can stick it in our diaper bag for emergency washing situations(?). Amazon Price: $5.49 (Yes, for the 3 oz size!)
Deep Steep Moisture Stick (Lavender & Chamomile) – I actually received this in my Stork Stack this month, but in a different scent. I haven’t tried it out yet, but I like the idea of a lotion in stick-form. Seems a lot less messy. Less messy is always good. Amazon Price: $5.27
So that’s what I got in my May box. The retail (Amazon) price of all of the products comes to $36.07! Pretty cool, right? Definitely more than the $25 I paid. If you’d like to sign up, click on my referral link HERE for $10 off your first month — making it only $15! Score! 🙂

Awesome! Glad I could help! 🙂

I got that box. I thought that the book on how to tell time was a bit too early for my newborn, but as far as subscription boxes for babies I think its worth it with the coupon!

Yeah, I always just skipped the pages at the end with all the “how to tell time” junk. I did like that fact that the book was so long though… Most board books I’ve gotten have been way too short and can be read in 30 seconds. (Boring for me, too quick for them!)
