Healthy Surprise is a monthly subscription box for snacks — vegan/gluten-free/soy-free, all-natural-super-fantastic ones! It’s a great box for those with food allergies, vegans (hey, that’s me!), or anyone who wants to snack a little healthier.
Oh, did I mention that all of the snacks are FULL SIZE? Yep. They sure are. No sample-sized, mini snacks in these boxes! You can choose from 3 different box sizes: Starter (16-20 servings), Healthy (32-40 servings), or Large (48-60 servings). Boxes start at $33/month and you can cancel at anytime. (But why would you want to?)
This is my third box from them and I love that they include toddler/kid-friendly snacks too! Okay, less talk, more snacks! Let’s see what goodies Healthy Surprise delivered this time!
First look! I love how neatly packed everything is. The tissue paper “pockets” is such a neat idea and I’m surprised more boxes don’t do it. Such a nice presentation!
Besides the usual snackage, the box also contained a $25 gift card to use on future boxes. Nice!
Just Strawberries n’ Bananas Real Fruit Snacks – These were great! Nothing but 100% natural freeze dried strawberries and bananas. We gave these to the girls for a snack after dinner and they devoured them. (I stole a few pieces too.)
Buddy Fruits Pure Fruit Bites – All natural, chewy fruit snacks with no artificial flavors or preservatives. I’m still paranoid about my girls choking on these sort of things, so I ate them myself. They were alright. I think I would have liked a different flavor better. Not an orange fan.
Oskri Dried Cranberries – My bag was opened when I received it, so I was a little nervous about trying them. OH MY GOSH — I forgot about that until just now and I was sick earlier this week (like, puke-sick). I hope it wasn’t from these! I was blaming Olive Garden. (Note to self: Throw the rest of these out!) Wow. Okay, that aside, these are simply dried cranberries and okay I can’t stop thinking that these are what got me sick. Not too smart of me to eat what was essentially an exposed/opened fruit product. 🙁
New York Date Bar in Apricot Coconut – This is an all natural fruit and nut bar. It contains dates, apricots, walnuts, raisins, coconut and almonds. That’s it!
Oskri Peach Bar – Another all natural fruit bar. This one has dried peaches, dried dates, dried figs, and raisins.
Freeze Dried Crunchies Mix Fruit – More freeze dried fruit! I love getting this stuff. This one’s a “mixed fruit” blend and contains mango, peaches, blueberries, apples, raspberries & strawberries. Yum!
Rawr Bar in Super Sweet Potato – This is an all-natural fruit & veggie strip made with sweet potato puree, applesauce, lemon juice, and a touch of cinnamon. A nice alternative to fruit roll-ups!
Alive & Radiant Kale Krunch in Quite Cheezy – Oh, kale… Why can’t I like you?? I try. Really, I do. I’m sorry that you’re sitting in the cupboard, but make yourself comfortable… You might be there for quite a while.
Lydia’s Organics Rawkin’ Spicy Beet Chips – I’ve never heard of “beet chips”, so I’m curious to try these. They only have one review on Amazon and it has 5 stars, so that’s good. At least someone liked ’em, right?
Happy Times Veggie Pals Carrot Orange Apple Chews – Worried about the whole choking thing for little ones, I had these myself and they were really good. They were chewy, but not too “gummy” and the flavor was great. I’d definitely buy these for the girls when they’re bigger. And myself.
Go Go Squeez in Apple Berry – We love Go Go Squeez! Such an easy, healthy snack — basically applesauce in a pouch. Love ’em!

The mixed fruit freeze dried crunchies is the item I would try first. Found it. Dry interesting that everything in this entire box was fruit related. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a snack box completely centered around fruit products and wondered if they have a monthly theme of sorts. We would have tried every product in this box except the kale. Like you, I just can’t like kale. I do not under stand the appeal at all…..my mom and sister like it but I just don’t. My hubby won’t even try it! He says dry kale is not a snack. Lol. Thanks for the chance to win, I’d love to try this box!

Thanks so much for featuring this box, it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for! I’m not vegan, but I did recently stop eating dairy, gluten, and soy. It’s difficult to find snacks to accommodate special diets without spending hours reading labels.

The freeze dried strawberries and bananas!

Did they short you on products this month I’m only counting 11. I wish “healthy” snacks had more of a variety besides basically just freeze dried fruits and veggies.
Wendy Rose
They go by servings, not products. The kale and beet chips both have multiple servings per package. I’ve gotten (healthier) cookies and bars and other things in past boxes. (See my other reviews) It’s not always just fruits & veggies. 🙂
