Love With Food time! The theme this month is “Fun at the County Fair” and features healthier versions of traditional carnival/fair treats that are “fun for the whole family”.
Love With Food is only $10/month (plus $2 shipping) for their “Tasting” box (this one). They also have a “deluxe” box for $19.95/month (free shipping), as well as a new Gluten Free version. With every box purchased, Love With Food donates a meal to a person in need. Everyone wins!
Let’s dig in!
The info card this month is actually a larger, tri-fold brochure type deal. I was a fan of the smaller card, but this is kinda neat because they include the ingredients for each item, which is super helpful for us vegans. There’s also a recipe for chocolate peanut cookies.
Back to Nature Crispy Cheddar Crackers – I recently got these in a different box and the girls loved them. They’re made with unbleached wheat flour and contain no artificial flavors, preservatives, or high fructose corn syrup.
Skeeter Nut Free Cinnamon Grahams – These graham crackers are all natural and nut-free. They’re made with wheat flour and contain no artificial flavors. These are perfect for snack time and I’m planning on picking some more up in the Love With Food shop.
Yummy Earth Organic Lollipops – I wonder if everyone got sour apple? I was kinda bummed to get two of the same flavor. Ah well. These are vegan, gluten-free lollipops made with organic ingredients and real fruit and veggie extracts.
180 Degrees Nutty Rice Bites with Blueberries – Crispy rice clusters with nuts, seeds, blueberries, and more. These are gluten free and vegan, so I was excited to try them. Sadly, they were a little too sweet for me. I usually have no problem with sweetness, but this was just… sweet to the extreme.
Smooze! Pineapple & Coconut Fruit Ice – I’ve seen this in another box a while ago and have always wanted to try it. It’s a frozen treat made with real coconut milk & pineapple juice. 100% natural, vegan, and gluten-free. I need to remember to throw this in the freezer cos I’m dying to see if it’s any good (and pick up more in the LWF shop!).
Kettle Sweet Peanuts – These are made by Love With Food, and I think is their first in-house offering. I was super excited to try them until I saw that they contain butter. 🙁
Salty Road Salty Peanut & Salty Caramel Apple Salt Water Taffy – Caramel apple taffy sounds sooo good. It’s made with real apple cider jelly too. No artificial flavors here!
Covered Bridge Montreal Steak Spice Seasoning Potato Chips – Kettle cooked chips flavored with steak spice seasoning. I honestly don’t know what steak spice seasoning tastes like, but I spose I can give these a try. They appear to be vegan and gluten-free.
Like last month, this just wasn’t a great Love With Food box for me. The theme was cute, but I was bummed by all of the non-vegan items. For those without any dietary restrictions, I’m guessing it was a hit though. It did have a nice variety of different snacks.
If you’d like to sign up for Love With Food, they’re currently offering new members their first box for FREE (just pay $2 shipping — though I’ve heard some people are getting it totally free) when you use the promo code “YUMMY” (If that code doesn’t work, try “FBGIFT“). Just enter the code at checkout — I heard it also takes $10 off of the deluxe box as well!
