Adore Box is a brand new subscription service that sends you a variety of beauty and lifestyle products each month. Boxes can include makeup, skin care products, housewares, jewelry, accessories, and more.
Every Adore Box will contain 4 to 7 items hand-selected items, as well as possible bonus add-ins. Both full and sample sized products will be included.
Subscriptions are $15 per month (shipping included). Discounted multi-month plans are also available.
Let’s see what’s in my April Adore Box!
Everything was shipped in a basic, no frills brown box. I’d like to see something a little fancier, but I believe this is their first month, so no biggie.
An info sheet listed all of the items in the box, along with their retail values. It also notes that anything not listed is a special add-in that can vary from box to box.
Prestige Mascara & Matching Eyeliner ($9) – I just realized I took a photo of the wrong side of this. It may have helped if I actually took it out of the package… Ah well. Here we have Prestige “My Blackest Lashes” Intense Black Volume Mascara, plus a bonus matching eyeliner. I have a gazillion mascaras that I need to use up, but I’m happy to try out the brown liner.
L’Oreal Colour Riche Nail Lingerie ($6.99) – A set of 18 “easy to apply” nail stickers that can last up to 10 days. These are cute, but a lil’ too fancy for me. Solid colors are my jam.
Oli Eye Contour Cream ($5.99) – This eye cream is made in Spain and enriched with olive oil. Sadly, it’s chock full o’ parabens and BHT, so I won’t be using it.
Wonderpuff Deep Exfoliating Cleansing Puff ($2.99) – A scrubby puff for removing dead skin cells and dirt & oil trapped under the skin. I’d give this a try, but my skin is ridiculously sensitive and I don’t think I’d like the results. Boo.
Dr. Robert Rey Severe Line Refine ($18) – This serum claims to “dramatically and quickly” reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles under the eyes. It can also be used around your brows, lips, and nose.
Prada Bio-Firm Concentrate ($5.99) – Another eye serum? What are you tryin’ to tell me, Adore Box? Yeesh. It looks like this one claims to do pretty much the same thing as the serum above… Reduces visible signs of aging, firms the skin, etc.
DMG Eye & Lip Liner ($3.99) – I can never have enough black liners. This one goes on really smooth and I like that it’s retractable so I don’t have to mess with a sharpener.
Martin’s Chocolatier Milk Chocolate Postcard (?) – This wasn’t on the info sheet, so it was a bonus “add-in” item. Sadly, it didn’t arrive in the best condition and was melted at some point along the way. Oh well.
While some of the items seem a little pricey for what they are (I used the prices on the info sheet), this is still a pretty decent box for just $15. It looks like the May Adore Box might be sold out already, so I’d sign up now if you wanna get it on June’s shipment! Oh — and you can use the code “HALFOFF” to save 50% on your first box!
