Amoda Tea is a premium tea subscription box that sends hand picked tea samples to your door every month.
Each box will include 4 high quality teas (enough for 12+ cups), disposable/biodegradable tea filters, tasting notes, steeping instructions, and a collectible tea postcard. Amoda Tea focuses on finding and featuring fun brands & small-batch tea blenders from all over North America. Two box options are currently available: The Original Monthly Box and The Low Caff (for the caffeine sensitive).
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
Subscriptions are $20/month and shipping is free.
Let’s see what’s in the December 2021 Amoda Tea box!
Everything was shipped in a small brown box with a white Amoda Tea logo in the bottom right corner.
A peek inside!
An info card listed all of the teas included in December’s box, as well as tasting notes for each one.
All of the teas were individually packaged in resealable pouches. Each label included tasting notes, caffeine content, brewing instructions, and a full ingredient list. All of December’s selections were handcrafted by Dessert by Deb — including 2 teas that were made exclusively for this box.
Panettone
I’ve actually never tried panettone (the bread) before, but I have a feeling that I’ll enjoy this tea version way more than a bread filled with nuts & sticky raisins (not a fan 😉 ). The high-caffeine blend contains a mix of all organic ingredients including black tea, lemon peel, raisins, vanilla, and calendula petals.
Blueberry Buttermilk Short Stack Pancakes
My daughters belong to a local scout troop that has a built-in (100% vegan!) cafe and for the last few weeks I’ve been ordering a blueberry muffin with blueberry tea to enjoy while they do their activities. Fruit teas can be kind of hit or miss for me, but I’ve found that the blueberry varieties are always delicious. This one sounds even more-so with the addition of cinnamon, elderberries, currants, and hibiscus. Mmm!
Eggnog Pudding Pie
Fun(?) fact: I’ve never tried eggnog. Not even a vegan alternative “nog”. Any beverage that includes eggs as one of its main ingredients is just not appealing to me in the slightest. Thankfully, Eggnog Pudding Pie tea is 100% egg-free. 😉 What it does contain is a flavorful blend of organic green tea, coconut, cinnamon, toasted coconut, and nutmeg. I’ll drink to that!
Lemongrass Mimosa
Lemongrass is one of my very favorite scents, so I was happy to have it arrive this month in the form of tea. 🙂 This caffeine-free herbal blend features a mix of organic orange peel, lemongrass, turmeric, oranges, and calendula petals. Since it contains no caffeine, I’ll be saving this to savor in the evenings while I wind down for the day.
Biodegradable Tea Filters
A roll of disposable/100% biodegradable tea filters are also included in every box. I didn’t count them, but it looks to be plenty to use with the included teas. Additional filters can also be purchased as an “add-on”.
Postcard
December’s festive postcard featured a duo of mugs filled with warm seasonal beverages. Mmm…
I’m a big fan of seasonal “dessert-y” teas, so December’s Amoda Tea selections were all winners in my book. However, if I had to choose, I would say I’m most excited about trying the Blueberry Buttermilk Short Stack Pancakes and the Lemongrass Mimosa. 😀
