Amoda Tea is a premium tea subscription box that sends hand picked tea samples to your door every month.
Each box will include 4 high quality teas (enough for 12+ cups), disposable/biodegradable tea filters, tasting notes, steeping instructions, and a collectible tea postcard. Amoda Tea focuses on finding and featuring fun brands & small-batch tea blenders from all over North America. Two box options are currently available: The Original Monthly Box and The Low Caff (for the caffeine sensitive).
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
Subscriptions are $20/month and shipping is free.
Let’s see what’s in the May 2022 Amoda Tea box!
Everything was shipped in a small brown box with a white Amoda Tea logo in the top left corner.
A peek inside!
An info card listed all of the teas included in May’s box, as well as tasting notes for each one.
All of the teas were individually packaged in resealable pouches with labels noting their tasting notes, caffeine content, brewing instructions, and full ingredient list.
Plum Deluxe “Spring Romance”
“Spring Romance” is a seasonal tea which Plum Deluxe only offers between the Spring/Summer months of March through August. It features a fragrant, 100% organic blend of black tea, heather flowers, and essence of lilac. — The perfect tea for delivering springtime vibes throughout the entire year.
Urban Earth Teas and Wellness “Book Lover’s Blend”
Ooh — I LOVE lemongrass! Urban Earth’s “Book Lover’s Blend” consists of 100% organic ingredients including the aforementioned lemongrass, orange peel, lavender flowers, and rosehips. Since it’s an herbal tea, it has no caffeine — making it a great choice for unwinding at the end of a long day. (Or cozying up with a good book, of course!)
Steve’s Tea Company “Raspberry Beret”
This black tea blend packs a fruity punch thanks to the inclusion of dried raspberries, raspberry leaves, and natural flavors. It’s high in caffeine and can be enjoyed hot or over ice. You can also add a pinch of sugar to further enhance its fruity flavors.
Plum Deluxe “No Obligations”
“No Obligations” is a blend that reminds me more of autumn than Spring/Summer, but I’m NOT complaining. 😉 It features a flavorful mix of organic decaf black tea, rooibos, cinnamon, orange peel, cocoa nibs, calendula, hazelnut essence, almond essence, and vanilla essence. It sounds absolutely delicious and I can’t wait to try it!
Biodegradable Tea Filters
A roll of disposable/100% biodegradable tea filters are also included in every box. I didn’t count them, but it looks to be plenty to use with the included teas. Additional filters can also be purchased as an “add-on”.
Postcard
This month’s postcard featured a pretty table scape of freshly brewed tea and colorful flowers.
May’s Amoda Tea shipment included a nice assortment of black and herbal blends. I’m usually not a huge fan of black teas on their own, but I make exceptions when they include flavorful “add-ins” like raspberries, nuts, spices, and chocolate. 😉 All of the blends sound great, but I’m most looking forward to sipping “Book Lover’s Blend” and “No Obligations”.
