Amoda Tea is a premium tea subscription box that sends hand picked tea samples to your door every month.
Each box will include 4 high quality teas (enough for 12+ cups), disposable/biodegradable tea filters, tasting notes, steeping instructions, and a collectible tea postcard. Amoda Tea focuses on finding and featuring fun brands & small-batch tea blenders from all over North America. Two box options are currently available: The Original Monthly Box and The Low Caff (for the caffeine sensitive).
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
Subscriptions are $20/month and shipping is free.
Let’s see what’s in the November 2021 Amoda Tea box!
Everything was shipped in a small brown box with a white Amoda Tea logo in the bottom right corner.
A peek inside!
An info card listed all of the teas included in November’s box, as well as tasting notes for each one.
All of the teas were individually packaged in resealable pouches. Each label included tasting notes, caffeine content, brewing instructions, and a full ingredient list.
Tealee Orange Ginger Boost
Tealee’s Orange Ginger Boost features a flavorful combination of citrus and spice mixed with earthy notes of pu’erh tea. It’s an ideal blend for relieving headaches and nausea while also giving you a nice boost of Vitamin C. Since it does have a high caffeine level, it’s probably best to enjoy this early in the morning/day.
Thesaurus Tea Awaken the Muse
Another high-caffeine selection, Awaken the Muse was specially crafted for National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). It features a creativity-inducing blend of black tea, jasmine, cinnamon, red lychee, rose and blue malva petals, lemongrass, and vanilla flavor.
Chaibaba Relaxing Tea
For a caffeine-free experience, Chaibaba’s Relaxing is a great choice to help you unwind. The aromatic herbal blend consists of organic chamomile, rosehips, lavender, non-GMO honeybush, and natural vanilla flavor. An ideal post-work/evening tea to ease you into sleepytime. 🙂
Hojicha Roasted Green Tea
A low-caffeine option, Hojicha is a pure Japanese tea consisting of green tea that has been roasted over charcoal. Roasting the leaves removes all of the bitterness from the tea, leaving it with a rich, smokey flavor. I’m intrigued!
Biodegradable Tea Filters
A roll of disposable/100% biodegradable tea filters are also included in every box. I didn’t count them, but it looks to be plenty to use with the included teas. Additional filters can also be purchased as an “add-on”.
Postcard
November’s postcard featured a simple image of a cup of tea posed near a stack of books and a vessel of dried grasses.
I hadn’t reviewed an Amoda Tea box since way back in 2016(!), so I was happy to check out a more current offering. My husband & I both enjoy tea so we’re looking forward to sampling all of these unique blends! 🙂
