Amoda Tea is a premium tea subscription box that sends hand picked tea samples to your door every month.
Each box will include 4 high quality teas (enough for 12+ cups), disposable/biodegradable tea filters, tasting notes, steeping instructions, and a collectible tea postcard. Amoda Tea focuses on finding and featuring fun brands & small-batch tea blenders from all over North America. Two box options are currently available: The Original Monthly Box and The Low Caff (for the caffeine sensitive).
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
Subscriptions are $20/month and shipping is free.
Let’s see what’s in the September 2022 Amoda Tea box!
Everything was shipped in a small brown box with a white Amoda Tea logo in the center.
A peek inside!
An info card listed all of the teas included in September’s box, as well as tasting notes for each one.
All of the teas were individually packaged in resealable pouches with labels noting their tasting notes, caffeine content, brewing instructions, and full ingredient list.
Octavia Tea Company “Mango Sorbet”
This sweet, fruity tea from Octavia Tea Company features a 100% organic blend of Bai Mu Dan white tea, real mango pieces, and natural mango & vanilla flavoring. It’s low in caffeine and has a refreshing tropical flavor with a creamy finish that’s reminiscent of mango sorbet. Yum!
Elevation Tea Company “Blackberry Sage”
A high caffeine selection, “Blackberry Sage” from Elevation Tea Company is a unique blend that pairs the juicy flavor of blackberries with the earthy notes of sage. Ingredients include organic black tea, blackberry leaves, sage, and natural blackberry flavor. This can be enjoyed both hot or over ice.
Elevation Tea Company “Salted Caramel”
Yerba mate — referred to by the indigenous South Americans as “the drink of the gods” — has the strength of coffee and health benefits of tea without any of the jitters. The Salted Caramel tea above is comprised of 100% organic ingredients including roasted yerba mate, black tea, cinnamon bark, and natural vanilla & caramel flavors. Its flavor profile is comparable to French toast or cinnamon rolls. Mmm.
Tealee “Lemon Lavender Twist”
The sole caffeine-free selection this month, “Lemon Lavender Twist” features a tangy blend of organic lemongrass, lavender, lemongrass root, and butterfly blue pea flowers. When steeped, the brew turns a pretty blue color — but if you want to have a little fun you can add some fresh lemon to watch it instantly turn purple. Magic! 😉
Biodegradable Tea Filters
A roll of disposable/100% biodegradable tea filters are also included in every box. I didn’t count them, but it looks to be plenty to use with the included teas. Additional filters can also be purchased as an “add-on”.
Postcard
This month’s postcard featured a sachet of tea brewing inside of a pretty hummingbird themed cup and saucer set.
Septembers’ Amoda Tea shipment included a nice selection of black, white and herbal blends. I’m most looking forward to sipping “Mango Sorbet”, “Salted Caramel”, and “Lemon Lavender Twist”. 🙂
