Once again, my mom neglected to cancel her subscription (woohoo!), so I got a second Citrus Lane box in April (read my first April review) She brought it over last night, so I figured I’d review it today (since it’s already May and all…).
If you’re new to them, Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription for babies/kids aged newborn-5. It’s $29/month (cheaper with longer subs) and includes a nice assortment of toys, books, snacks, toiletries, etc. Sometimes they even include a gift for mom.
This month’s Citrus Lane box included products to pay tribute to Earth Day — as well as Spring in general. Yay, April!
This box is geared towards a 2 year old girl (I think?) and here’s what was inside…
Green Toys Flower Set – Yay! I was so hoping these would be in my mom’s box! I had seen these in other reviews and noticed that they were sent for kiddos over 2. I knew my girls wouldn’t get them since they’re only 21 months, so I was glad my mom aged up on her account. I love Green Toys and this set is totally adorable. Your little ones can arrange all of the different flower parts into their own customized flower bed. Love it! (Amazon Price: $22.94 for the whole set — this special Citrus Lane set has about half of the parts, so I’ll say $11.47)
Green Eats Tumblers – We got Green Eats bowls in our regular box this month, so it was cool to get some matching tumblers too! These are made by Green Toys and are constructed out of 100% recycled milk jugs. They’re also dishwasher safe. I’m still not a huge fan of the orange-y yellow color, but whatevs. Also, for some reason this color is more expensive than the other (prettier) ones on Amazon. Anyone know why that would be? Seems to happen a lot with color variations and I never understand it. (Amazon Price: $9.93)
“Skip Through the Seasons” from Barefoot Books – This is a fun “seek-and-find” book about the changing seasons. It takes your child through each month, featuring colorful illustrations paired with a list of “things” to find in each scene. We love books in this house, and interactive books are even better. (Amazon Price: $6.57)
Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Dish Soap – This is a sample size of lemon verbena dish soap. It’s biodegradable and made with “at least 97%” naturally derived ingredients. I love anything citrus, so I’m definitely digging the scent. (Amazon Price: roughly $0.87 for 2 ounces)
There was also an offer for a free greeting card, but you still had to pay tax and postage, so I’m not including it in the review.
I’m so glad my mom hasn’t cancelled her subscription yet, cos I’m lovin’ getting two boxes a month! Plus, it always seems like the thing I really hope I get in our box, ends up being in my mom’s. Love it!
If you’d like to sign up for Citrus Lane’s monthly box, you can get your first one for just $9.00 (regularly $29.) Just enter the promo code “TAKE20OFF” at checkout!
