Native Box is Australia’s #1 eco-friendly subscription service. Their mission is to help you discover greener alternatives to everyday products.
There are 4 different box themes to choose from: Beauty, Vegan, Supersize, and Classic (what I’ll be reviewing). All boxes will contain 8 to 10 full and sample sized items (except for Supersize, which contains only full sized products!).
The Classic box contains a mixture of personal care, food, lifestyle, household, beauty, and more. Vegan features 100% vegan items, and Beauty includes eco-friendly skin care products and cosmetics. Boxes start as low as $22/month with free shipping within Australia and varying rates to other countries. (I entered my NY zip code and it showed $7 for shipping.)
I had never seen any reviews for Native Box, so when it arrived at my door I couldn’t wait to open it up!
At first I was a little confused by the info card telling me to get ready for spring, but then I remembered that the box is from “down under” and it’s actually still winter there. The back of the card listed all of the items in the box.
Essentially Natural Organic Coconut Oil – 100% organic extra virgin coconut oil in the cutest little glass jar. You can use it as a healthy oil for cooking or a moisturizer for your skin.
Koala Popcorn – Air-popped with Australian-grown corn, this is a lightly salted, high fiber snack choice. That’s one cool koala on the bag!
Anerah Rejuvenating Mineral Mask – A mineral face mask made with all natural ingredients including green tea and chamomile. It has antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties that help to exfoliate, tone, and smooth all skin types. I’ll definitely be using this during my next bath.
Native Box Sustainable Party Pack – This little place setting consists of a plate made from naturally fallen Palm Tree leaves, cutlery from plantation birch, and a napkin made with a blend of bamboo and sugar cane. You can’t get much more eco-friendly than that!
Essentially Natural Organic Dry Figs – 100% organic whole figs. I’m not a huge fan of these, but they’re packed with fiber, iron, potassium, and other good stuff so I’ll force myself to enjoy them. 😉
Pure by Phytocare Pure Papaya Ointment with Lip Applicator – A “petrochemical-free” lip balm/ointment made with fermented papaya (or “paw paw”, as it’s known to Aussies). This helps to sooth, moisturize and protect dry, chapped lips.
Vabori Olive Leaf Extract – I’ve never heard of olive leaf extract, but it seems pretty useful. You can take it to reduce the severity of a cold/flu, relieve a sore throat, support digestive health, and more. This was included as a winter bonus item.
Meditree Tea Tree Facial Cleanser – Tea tree oil is great for treating acne-prone skin. This all natural cleanser contains both tea tree oil and willowbark extract to gently remove impurities while providing beneficial hygienic properties to the skin.
As you can see, the box was a bit damaged in transit, but all of the contents were completely in tact. I really enjoyed discovering so many new products, most of which I’d probably never see here in the US. I also like that there was a good mix of snacks, beauty, and household products.
