BE KIND. by ellen is a purpose-driven seasonal subscription box founded and curated by Ellen Degeneres.
Each box will include a collection of products (chosen by Ellen!) that are cruelty free, sustainably sourced, and ethically made. These “products with a purpose” come from brands who do good and give back to their community, so you can feel good about supporting them. Past items have included books, apparel, teas, skin care products, jewelry, snacks, eco-friendly cleaning products, home decor, socks, coffee, lip balms, and more.
Disclosure: Box was received for review. Post may contain affiliate links.
Boxes are only available during the season in which they are released, so there will be a limited number of boxes available each quarter. Once they’re gone, they’re gone!
Subscriptions are $54.99/quarter, or less with annual plans. Shipping is FREE!
Let’s see what’s in the Fall 2022 BE KIND. by ellen box!
Everything was shipped in a pretty box featuring an autumn-inspired floral design.
A peek inside!
A full-color magazine provided details on all of the items included in this month’s box, as well as additional offers from Ellen’s online shop.
M.C. Squares Bundle ($34 value)
The bundle above is designed to reduce your need for (wasteful) paper sticky notes. It consists of a weekly planner, reusable sticky notes, a mini “notepad”, and a pack of smudge-free Tackie markers. The notes and weekly planner stick to most surfaces and can be reused up to 2,000 times! The smudge-free wet erase markers work well with the items above, but they can also be used for windows, glass, ceramic, whiteboards, and more. M.C. Squares uses 100% wind-powered manufacturing to produce their products and has planted over 50,000 trees (and counting) with their partner Trees for the Future. Nice!
Urban Hydration Micellar Water in Lemon & Berries ($25 value)
Urban Hydration Lemon & Berries Micellar Water is a gentle, all natural product suitable for all skin types. It’s basically a no-rinse face wash that removes makeup, exfoliates, and moisturizes your skin all in one easy step. The formula is 100% vegan-friendly and free from parabens, sulfates, phthalates, and other icky stuff. For every product sold, Urban Hydration donates 1 gallon of water to communities in need.
Geometry Kitchen Tea Towel ($17 value)
As much as I’m trying to be more of a minimalist, I have a bit of an obsession with kitchen towels… As in, a whole drawer full. (But they’re all rolled up neatly, Marie Kondo style!) The colorful tea towel above features a fun abstract design with shades of pink, green, orange, black, and white. It’s made with a soft, tightly woven Geoweave™ fabric that’s ultra-absorbent and quick-drying. All of Geometry’s products are made from recycled post-consumer materials which helps reduce waste in our environment and conserve water during the manufacturing process.
COSRX Vitamin C 23 Serum ($25 value)
This highly concentrated serum is designed to fade acne scars and brighten the complexion to revitalize dull & dry skin. It’s formulated with 23% Vitamin C — a high concentration that while effective, may take a bit for your skin to get used to. (A patch test is VERY recommended.) COSRX is a female-founded Korean brand that offers affordable skincare made with effective natural extracts without unnecessary (unhealthy) ingredients.
Savvy & Sorted Minimalist Preprinted Spice Labels ($25 value)
Australian-based Savvy & Sorted proudly donates a portion of profits to the Great Barrier Reef Foundation to help rebuild coral reefs that protect ecosystems and save vulnerable marine species. The preprinted labels above were designed to encourage you to reduce single-use plastic by bulk purchasing spices and storing them in glass jars. The collection includes 142 preprinted labels, 1 DIY label, and 3 expiration labels — for a total of 146 in all. There’s even a handy checklist on the back of the package to help reveal just what’s lurking in that cluttered spice cabinet. 😉
Grande Cosmetics GrandeMASCARA ($25 value)
GrandeMASCARA not only provides extreme volume and length, but is also infused with a lash-loving blend of peptides, panthenols, and natural waxes that condition your lashes while you coat them — promoting the appearance of healthier looking lashes over time. Its buildable, clump-free, water-resistant formula is easily removable while keeping the lashes flexible and strong. Founder & CEO, Alicia Grande created Grande Gives Back, a social give-back platform to support causes that are at the forefront of society, and to help raise awareness for health, safety, and equality for all.
Color Street Sahara Jewel & Munich Mulberry Nail Polish Strips ($24 value)
These long-lasting nail strips are made with 100% real nail polish — providing base, color, and top coat in every strip with the bonus of no drying time. They’re easy to apply (peel & stick!) and can last up to 10 days. When you’re ready for a new manicure, simply remove with regular nail polish remover and you’re good to go. The Color Street Foundation has pledged $1 million as the National Signature Partner for March for Babies 2022, and they are making a major difference for mothers and children in local and national communities alike.
The Fall 2022 BE KIND. by ellen box included a fun assortment of useful products designed by socially conscious brands. My personal favorites were the M.C. Squares Sticky Note Bundle, Geometry Kitchen Tea Towel, and Savvy & Sorted Preprinted Spice Labels. The total retail value of everything in the Fall 2022 BE KIND. by ellen box was an impressive $175! 😀
