Let’s see what’s in the February 2017 Beauty Box 5 box!
As always, everything was shipped in a small box with the Beauty Box 5 logo on the side.
A peek inside!
February’s theme was “The Kiss Kit” and the info card listed all of the items in the box, as well as photos, descriptions, and retail prices for each one.
Tint Beauty Unicorn Lippie in “Forever After” ($9)
I wasn’t able to find a website for Tint Beauty, but according to the info card their “Unicorn Lippie Collection” is debuting in this month’s box. This liquid lipstick is highly pigmented and formulated to last all day. I received “Forever After”, which is a bold dark pink/rose shade. (Update: Found the website! Google failed me, but turns out it’s just tintbeauty.com. Ha!)
Tint Beauty Unicorn Liner ($7)
To go along with the lipstick above, Beauty Box 5 also included a matching lip liner. Use this to line the lips before applying your lipstick for extra staying power.
So Susan Colour Hybrid ($17.50)
A lip & cheek “cream-mousse” hybrid in a deep Marsala shade that works with on all skin tones. It’s super pigmented, so a little goes a long way. To use, just apply a small amount to the apples of your cheeks or center of your lips and blend outward. The formula is cruelty-free and contains no parabens or phthalates.
Style Essentials Lip Glow ($4)
This sheer gloss balm gives your lips a dose of moisture and just a hint of shine. It has a nice fruity scent, but the ingredients aren’t exactly the most natural. That said, it sells for just $4 so you get what you pay for. 😉
Jean Pierre Cosmetics Pink Moisturizing Lip Mask ($1)
Am I the only one who thinks putting a mask on your lips is freakin’ weird? Ha. I don’t think I’d be able to sit there with this thing on my face for the recommended 15 minutes without the promise of some seriously drastic results. It promises to repair dryness with collagen, vitamins, and minerals. Meh… I’ll stick to a plain ol’ lip balm for that. 😉
While this month’s Beauty Box 5 had a great value as usual, it just wasn’t for me. I don’t use most lip products — aside from balms and nude shades — so unfortunately these items were all a miss. That said, the total retail value of February’s box was almost $40! 😀 — Remember, for a limited time new subscribers will get a FREE Marsk eyeshadow in their first box with a purchase of a subscription! No coupon code needed.
