January 2017 Beauty Box 5 unboxing time!
If you’re not aware, Beauty Box 5 is an affordable subscription box that delivers 5 deluxe samples and full-sized products right to your door every month. Each box will consist of a mix of both full and deluxe sample sized products — five in all. Items can include makeup, beauty accessories, hair, skincare, fragrance, body, nail products, and more. Featured brands will range from luxury, to drugstore, niche, eco-conscious, and even vegan-friendly. The total retail value will always be higher than the cost of the box.
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
Subscriptions are $12/month, or less with multi-month commitments. Shipping to US is free (Canada, add $3). — For a limited time, new subscribers will get a FREE Marsk eyeshadow in their first box with a purchase of a subscription! No coupon code needed.
Let’s see what’s in the January 2017 Beauty Box 5 box!
As always, everything was shipped in a small box with the Beauty Box 5 logo on the side.
A peek inside!
January’s theme was “Red Carpet Ready” and the info card listed all of the items in the box, as well as photos, descriptions, and retail prices for each one.
So Susan Light Diffuser ($18)
An illuminator & bronzer duo that’s formulated with cocoa, papaya & kelp extract to help rejuvenate & heal fatigued skin. You can use the darker shade to contour and the lighter shade to highlight — or combine both to create a “multidimensional glow”.
Novex Bamboo Sprout Leave in Conditioner ($4.99)
A leave-in conditioner made with bamboo sprout which helps to nourish your hair, leaving it stronger and deeply moisturized. My girls have insanely wavy/curly/crazy hair, so I’ll see if this’ll help tame it a bit. 🙂
Nanacoco Classic Collection Nail Polish ($3.95)
I’m so used to getting 5-free/vegan polish in subscription boxes that it was kind of a bummer to see a cheaper, lesser known brand in this month’s box. A few years ago I wouldn’t have given it a second thought, but now I’m kinda spoiled when it comes to nail polish. 😉 That aside, the shade I received was “I’ll Be There”, which is a pretty maroon color.
Maskeraide Spotted! Anti-Blemish Clear Spot Patches ($7)
These anti-blemish spot patches help to minimize, detoxify, and calm existing or emerging pimples. A blend of salicylic acid, volcanic ash, and tea tree oil works to absorb excess oil as well as calm redness. To use, just peel clear patch off sheet and apply to blemish, pressing until it adheres to skin. For best results, leave on for 8-12 hours (or overnight) and simply remove patch when done. I’ll definitely be giving these a try!
Pur~Lisse Blue Lotus 4-in-1 Cleansing Milk (~$7)
This gentle cleanser includes a non-irritating blend of soy milk, soy proteins, whole oats, and white tea. It also contains blue lotus extract, which is an antioxidant with anti-inflammatory benefits known to combat against free radical damage.
Another high value offering — with plenty of full-sized items — from Beauty Box 5! The total retail value of January’s box was over $40! 😀 — Remember, for a limited time new subscribers will get a FREE Marsk eyeshadow in their first box with a purchase of a subscription! No coupon code needed.

The polish may be inexpensive but it’s still 5 Free. Someone commented on another blog that they had written to the company and had this information confirmed by them.

Wow, really? That’s awesome. Thanks for letting me know! 🙂
