Better Half Box May 2015 Women’s Review & Coupon Code

Better Half Box is a brand new subscription box that offers two different themes per month — one for women and another for men.

Each box will contain 6 to 8 full sized products. They could be anything from home goods, to beauty, fashion, and more. Special edition boxes for birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays will also be available for purchase in their online shop.

Subscriptions are currently $29 for the first month (use coupon code “FIRSTBOX29“), and then $39 for each month thereafter. Multi-month commitments are also available at a discounted rate.

Let’s see what’s in the May 2015 Better Half Box (Women’s Edition)!

The full-color info sheet listed all of the products I’d find inside, as well as photos and brief descriptions of each one.

Dell Cove Spice Company Cocktail Sugar Crystals ($4.25) – Pretty blue cocktail rimming sugar crystals made with organic sugar and vegetable-based & conventional food coloring. We’re not really into fancy drinks around here, so I’ll probably use this to decorate cookies. 😉

“Movie Star Gorgeous” Stemless Wine Glass (~$5?) – If you do enjoy fancy drinks at home, here’s the perfect glass to accompany the rimming sugar. It’s a stemless wine glass (yep, real glass — not plastic) that features the phrase “Movie Star Gorgeous” in pink script.

Geometric Elastic Hair Ties (~$5?) – I’ve lost track of how many subscription boxes have included hair ties over the last few months, but there were a LOT. These feature fun geometric designs and like the 90876 other ones I’ve gotten, I’ll be putting these away for my kiddos.

Glamour Dolls Lip Cream in “Duh” ($2.99) – A “baby doll pink” lip cream with buildable color. I don’t normally wear lip color, but this almost looks light enough for me to pull off.

Movie Trivia Cards ($14.04) – A fun trivia card game with 100 questions to test your movie knowledge. I’m awful at knowing this stuff, but my husband is all about knowing random movie facts.

Two Sisters Spa Gourmet Bath Bomb in Honey & Shea ($4.99) – Yay! I LOVE bath bombs. This one is from Two Sisters Spa and contains fresh shea butter and honey. They have a lot of really pretty bombs on their site that look comparable (at least visually) to a certain other big bath bomb producer. 😉

Professional Makeup Brush Set from Crown Brush ($30) – A 12-piece set of brushes for just about every step of your makeup routine. The bristles are soft and seem very well made. I only use a few products in my own regular makeup routine, so I’ll probably pass this along to someone who will appreciate it more.

Luxurious Sugar Scrub in Wild Orchid/Gardenia (~$5?) – A gentle exfoliating sugar scrub scented with wild orchid and gardenia. This looks like it was made especially for Better Half Box, so I made my best guess at a value.

Two drink recipes were also included… One for a Chocolate Martini and one for a Wedding Cake Martini.

I thought this was a great first offering from Better Half Box. The theme was cute and all of the items went along well with it. I also like that they used a few smaller, Etsy-based companies. The value was impressive too. All totaled, the items come to about $71. Not bad at all!
