Okay, let the July 2016 Birchbox unboxing begin!
The box! – The designs have all been so pretty lately.
A peek inside!
As always, the info card listed each item inside the box, as well as a brief description and retail prices for the full-sized versions.
Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real! Mascara – I believe this was my sample choice this month. Subscribers go to pick from a few different mascaras and I chose this one because I’ve never tried it before. It promises all day wear without any flaking.
Beautiful Nutrition Fadeless Citrus Antioxidant Shampoo – I actually don’t mind getting shampoo and conditioner in subscription boxes because at least it’s something I can always use. This one is ultra moisturizing and infused with citrus-derived antioxidants to increase vibrancy. The formula is also free of sulfates and won’t strip your hair color.
Beautiful Nutrition Fadeless Citrus Antioxidant Conditioner – The perfect partner for the shampoo above, this conditioner deeply hydrates the hair while counteracting damage caused by the coloring process.
Catherine Malandrino Style de Paris Eau de Parfum – Ugh. The dreaded fragrance vial. According to the info card this “ultrawearable scent mingles summery fruits and florals for an elegant vibe”. I don’t use fragrances aside from essential oils, so I’m not too thrilled when I get these dumb perfume samples… Which I tend to get a lot of. 🙁
Dr. Jart+ Water Drop Hydrating Moisturizer – Safe for just about all skin types, this replenishing moisturizer brightens dull-looking skin, combats dryness, and evens skin tone. The formula is 100% free of parabens, sulfates, and phthalates.
I suppose my July Birchbox was fairly decent. I’ll definitely use the shampoo & conditioner, and possibly the mascara. A big “no” on the perfume and a “probably not” on the moisturizer. I consider it a win when I like at least 50% of the box, so I’m good. 😉 — If you’d like to check out Birchbox for yourself, for a limited time new subscribers can get a FREE Eyeko Eyeliner Deluxe Sample with coupon code EYEKOGIFT.
