I totally forgot that I was getting October’s BiziBubble box, so it was a nice surprise when I saw it on my doorstep this past weekend. I was a big fan of last month’s box (their very first one) and was curious to see what the “bonus gift” would be this time.
BiziBubble is a “time of the month” subscription box that offers members a totally customizable experience — choose your brands, product types, and amounts (up to 25 items) to create your own personalized BiziBubble. Every month also features a different high-end bonus gift valued up to $45.
Subscriptions are $14.95/month with free shipping.
Let’s check out October’s BiziBubble box!
The goods were shipped via priority mail in their custom purple and white BiziBubble box.
Pads – You can choose from a variety of brands, sizes, etc. every month and switch things up whenever you’d like. I received an email before my box was sent out, reminding me to adjust my choices or leave them as is. Last time I chose pads and liners, but this month I decided to skip the liners and just go with pads only. I picked two different brands: U by Kotex (regular) and Always Infinity Ultrathins.
Dude, Sweet Chocolate Crack in a Box Chocolate Bark – Artisanal chocolate bark made with hazelnuts, almonds, and macadamia nuts. I was excited to see that it was dark chocolate and hoped that it was vegan, but alas, it’s not. The nuts are actually tossed in egg whites, sugar, and sea salt before toasting. Bummer. While it does look like a quality product, I have to note the price discrepancy I found. The info card lists a $10 value, which is what it states on their website — however, the size of the $10 box on their site is 5.5 ounces (6.5 ounces in the “additional info” tab). The box included here is just 1.75 ounces. So we’re talking a $3-4 value for this item.
I gotta say, compared to the first BiziBubble box, this one is a major disappointment. I do like the customization options they offer, as well as the nice selection of brands, but the gift? Eh… not so much. I realize that they promise a gift valued “up to” $45, which could technically be as low as $1 considering the wording… BUT I don’t think it’s cool of them to refer to it as a “truly wonderful and valuable surprise item”, get subscriber’s hopes up, and then present them with a $3 box of chocolate. Not cool. Hopefully this was just a hiccup and they’ll offer up something better next month. We’ll see…
