Blended Mommas is a brand new subscription box for all the hardworking step-moms and “bonus moms” out there. Every month you’ll get a box full of gifts, snacks, and even a note of encouragement to get you through the coming weeks. Yep, there’s definitely a box out there for everyone!
Every Blended Mommas box will include a nice assortment of products to brighten your day. — Bath & beauty items, jewelry, handcrafted pieces, home goods, snacks, and more. Monthly subscriptions, one-time boxes, and one month gifts are available. Each option is just $26/month (or box).
Since it’s a totally new subscription, I had no idea what I was going to find in my Blended Mommas box. As much as I enjoy spoilers, going in with no idea what’s tucked inside is always exciting.
Okay, let’s check it out!
The box was shipped via Priority Mail and featured a Blended Mommas logo sticker on the front.
First look. I like the use of the two different colors of tissue paper. It would have been cool if the colors blended together at the overlap. Har har. Moving on…
Second look. I like what I see!
The information card listed everything included in the box, with the back featuring an encouraging note to the step momma on how to survive the upcoming holiday season.
Alaffia’s Good Soap in Fresh Mint – The info card says that we’d get either Fresh Mint or Coconut, but I have a cold/stuffed nose so I’m not 100% sure which one I received. I’m pretty sure it’s Mint though. It looks like this soap is exclusively sold at Whole Foods and is made by Alaffia, a company founded in Africa to help support local communities and employ women in the country of Togo. The soap is made of an all natural blend of fair trade coconut oil and shea butter to help moisturize impending dry winter skin.
Sensible Portions Garden Veggie Straws – I’ve had these before and they’re pretty tasty. Actually, I just remembered where I had them — in a goodie bag that I got for making a baby registry at Babies ‘R Us when I was pregnant with the girls. Ah, memories... Anywhoo… These are a nice alternative to chips, as they contain 30% less fat and are made with real veggies. They also contain no artificial flavors, colors, preservatives, or other yucky stuff.
Ten Thousand Villages Ringing Hoops Earrings – Ten Thousand Villages is a great organization that supports artisans all over the world. They work to bring handcrafted goods to the US Market while empowering the artisans and utilizing fair trade practices. These silver hoop earrings were handcrafted in Kenya and are sure to make a nice gift (as I no longer have pierced ears). I browsed the site for a while and they have a LOT of beautiful, unique pieces. Definitely worth a look.
Target Brand Classic Tote Bag – This is a cute tote that folds up into a compact size. It’s even secured with a snap to ensure it stays in place. A perfect bag to keep in the car and always have handy for those spur of the moment shopping trips.
Emerald Breakfast on the Go! – I love that both of the snacks included in this box happened to be vegan. This is a nice mix of almonds, raisins, and maple & brown sugar oatmeal clusters. Yum!
Tazo Tea – Two tea bags were included. Calm Chamomile is a caffeine-free blend of chamomile, rose petals, and other herbs. Zen is a green tea featuring lemongrass and spearmint.
I was totally impressed with my Blended Mommas box. I like that it included a nice assortment of both practical and pampering items. Though meant for step-moms, this is truly a great, useful box for any mom who could use a fun surprise in the mail.
If you’d like to try a box yourself or gift a gift, you can save 25% on a one-time Blended Mommas box when you use the promo code “2ROSEBUDS” (must be all caps) at checkout!
