It’s July 2017 bluum review time!
If you’re not aware, bluum (yes, with a lowercase b) is a monthly subscription box for babies & kiddos from birth through age 5. Each box contains four or more products that are responsibly sourced, eco-friendly and often organic. The contents are based on the age of your kiddo in months, so there are many variations in the boxes that are sent in each shipment. (I don’t think I’ve seen any two boxes that were exactly the same.)
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
Subscriptions are $34/month or less with multi-month commitments. For a limited time, you can save 30% on your first month with coupon code “BABY30OFF“!
My girls are currently 58 months old (remember — they go by months), so the bluum box I received was geared towards a 59 month (almost 5 year old) child.
Let’s see what’s in my July 2017 bluum box!
The big red box!
A peek inside.
Usually there’s an insert indicating the current month and age range of your child, but mine was left out this time. Once your box is delivered, you’ll be able to log in to your account and view a list of its contents on their site.
Mudpuppy Eric Carle The Very Hungry Caterpillar Stencils ($14.99)
These fun stencils feature unmistakable images from the popular Eric Carle book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Each stencil is made with sturdy cardboard and includes the caterpillar himself, an apple, pear, sun, butterfly, and more — 10 in all. My girls used to love watching the animated version of this story on Netflix, so I’m sure they’ll have fun with this cute set.
Stephen Joseph Butterfly Flip Top Bottle ($9.99)
One of my kiddos is all about butterflies, so she was thrilled to see this butterfly themed water bottle and promptly claimed it for herself. I was happy to see that it’s BPA, PVC and Phthalate free. It’s designed to prevent leaks, even when on the go and comes with an extra straw which is always nice to have. 🙂
Eco-Armour Outdoor Insect Repellent ($14.99)
This DEET-free natural insect repellent not only helps to keep the bugs away, but it’s even good for your skin. Ingredients include aloe juice, sunflower oil, eucalyptus oil, and lemon tea tree oil. It has a nice citrusy scent and is safe for both children & adults.
My Super Duper Coloring Activity Book ($8.49)
Now this is an activity book! Great for preschoolers, this book is packed with more than 300 interactive pages to keep kids busy. It has drawing activities, dot-to-dots, matching games, mazes, spot the differences, coloring pages, and lots more. There’s also over 200 stickers to adhere to their corresponding spots on specified pages.
I’m very happy with the selections I received in this month’s bluum box. Though we’ll be able to use every single item (yay!), my favorites were the stencils, natural bug spray, and activity book. The total value (using both retail and Amazon prices) was just over $48, which is about $14 over the monthly subscription cost. Not bad!
Remember — if you’d like to sign up for bluum, you can save 30% on your first month with coupon code “BABY30OFF“!
