bluum is one of my favorite baby/kid boxes. They always have a good (though sometimes kinda random) selection of products and the value far exceeds the cost of the subscription every month.
If you’re new here, bluum is a monthly subscription box for babies & kiddos from birth through age 5. Each box contains five or more products that are responsibly sourced, eco-friendly and often organic. The contents are based on the age of your kiddo in months, so boxes tend to vary a LOT. I really love this about bluum, since I’m never really sure just what I’ll see when I open their big red box.
My girls are currently 26 months old, so the bluum box I received was for 27 months.
Let’s see what was inside!
Melissa & Doug Numbers Peg Puzzle ($7.99) – Perfect! I’ve been wanting to get a numbers puzzle for the girls and this is… well, that. We already have the Melissa & Doug Shapes puzzle and the Alphabet one, so this guy will be in good company.
Peaceable Kingdom My Body Match Up Game & Puzzle ($8.99) – I think this is the third set of these cards that we’ve gotten from bluum, but in different themes. We’ve gotten animal sounds, colors, and now body parts. These are sturdy, colorful flashcards that feature different parts of the body. Your child can play a matching game with one side of the cards, then flip them over to solve a 24-piece floor puzzle.
Kid O Mini Tug Boat ($5.95) – This is a well-made little tugboat for bath or pool time. We have a Kid O brand car toy that’s held up pretty well through countless throws, drops, etc. so I’m sure this lil’ guy will will last through many a bath.
Squirting Dolphin Bath Book ($6.29) – Another item to add to our bath toy pile collection. This bath book features a detachable dolphin squirter and is PVC free.
Luna Protein Bars ($3?) – I love the “regular” Luna bars, but unfortunately these protein ones contain dairy. Boo. Ah well. They’ll make a nice treat for the girls to share.
While I wasn’t as excited about this month’s box as the jam-packed box I got last month, it was still pretty good. The puzzle is something I was going to buy eventually, the cards will be great for learning the rest of the body parts, and the bath toys will definitely get used. All totaled (using Amazon prices), this month’s box has a retail value of $32.22. Again, not quite as impressive as last month, but still well over the $24.95/mo cost of the subscription.
