Let’s see what’s in my March 2017 BookCase.Club box!
Everything was shipped in a white and blue box with the BookCase.Club logo on top.
A peek inside! As always, I chose the “Read to Me” Case which includes 4 hardcover children’s books.
A Dr. Seuss coloring sheet was included for kiddos to color and share on Facebook for a chance to win a free month of books.
Beep! Beep! Go to Sleep! by Todd Tarpley ($10.62, Amazon)
A fun little bedtime read that puts a child in every parent’s shoes as he tries to get his demanding robot friends to go to bed. The robots come up with every excuse as to why they can’t go to sleep yet. — “My sensor aches!”… “I want more oil!”… Eventually they request a bedtime story, which the boy reads to them until he finally falls asleep.
Hansel & Gretel by Holly Hobbie ($15.35, Amazon)
The classic tale of Hansel & Gretel as told through pen and ink & watercolor illustrations by Holly Hobbie. The artwork is beautifully done, but I gotta say… I would most definitely have had some serious nightmares of that creepy old witch if I had read this version as a kid. Yikes!
As an Oak Tree Grows by G. Brian Karas ($6.74, Amazon)
An engaging book that follows the life of an oak tree from 1775 to the present day. The detailed illustrations beautifully show how the world changes over the years as the tree grows along with it. There’s even a large poster tucked inside that shows more of the events that occurred during the trees lifetime, as well as some fun activities relating to the story. Neat! 🙂
I was a little surprised to see only 3 books this month, as all of my BookCase.Club boxes up to this point have included 4. Still, I was totally happy with each of the 3 selections, so no big deal. My favorites this time were “Beep! Beep! Go to Sleep” and “As an Oak Tree Grows”. Using Amazon prices, the total value this month was just under $33! 😀 — Remember, if you’d like to sign up you can save 15% on your first month with coupon code “Rosebuds15“!
