Boxcitement is a UK-based subscription box that sends a fun collection of custom designed greeting cards, jewelry, and accessories to your door every month.
Each box will contain two exclusively designed greeting cards based on that month’s theme, as well as other stationery pieces and small gifts. Items can include custom jewelry, home decor, crafts, accessories, and more. All items are exclusive to Boxcitement, so you won’t find them anywhere else!
Subscriptions are £18 per month, or less with longer commitments. Shipping is free within the UK and £6 for the rest of the world.
Let’s see what’s in the October 2015 Boxcitement box!
Everything was sent in a small, flat box via air mail.
October’s box was their very first, so they appropriately themed it “Lift Off”. It focused on things you’d find in the sky — birds, rockets, balloons, etc. (Love the beardy guy on the right! Reminds me of an Iron & Wine album cover. Because beard, duh. 😉 )
Stuff!!
A few of the items were individually wrapped/packaged, which was a nice touch.
Greeting Cards – Two exclusively designed greeting cards were included. A pretty neon pink “thank you” card with a simple dandelion design, and a brightly colored rocket-themed “happy birthday” card. Basic greeting cards are great to have on hand and these ones are nice n’ cheerful.
Custom Coaster, Teabag, and Spoon – Tea time! Boxcitement provided a custom cork coaster, tea bag, and wooden spoon to use for high tea. Cute! (FYI: The coaster is thicker/more sturdy than it appears in the photo. It’s not just a flimsy piece of cork.)
Exclusive Necklace – This pretty necklace features a laser-engraved pendant made from birch plywood. Each wing is separately strung on a silver metal chain. Definitely a unique piece!
Coloring Postcards & Mini Fineline Sharpie – A trio of “mindfulness colouring postcards” were included, along with an orange mini Sharpie marker. I’ve always loved to color (and was made fun of for doing so in my early 20’s), so I’m really diggin’ this recent “adult coloring book” trend.
Ribbon & Washi Tape – Since Boxcitement focuses on both giving and receiving gifts, they also included some pretty polka dot grosgrain ribbon and two rolls of colorful washi tape to help you up your wrapping game.
I really didn’t know what to expect from Boxcitement, but I really enjoyed it! Everything was packaged nicely and I love that it was all exclusive to the box. It’s fun receiving things you know you won’t find in any other subscription box. The theme was fun and unique too. — Definitely curious to see what will be in future boxes!
