Let’s see what’s in my Summer 2019 BoxDog box!
Everything was shipped in a light blue box with the Miami skyline along the bottom and the BoxDog logo in the center.
A peek inside!
I didn’t receive any sort of info sheet/card, so I’ll just jump right to the items!
Paw’s Beauty BP+ Pet Care Cup
The first “premium item” I choose was this 12-ounce water bottle designed especially for dogs. The sturdy, unbreakable bottle is made out of food-grade ABS plastic and comes with an easy to carry handle. It features a handy lock switch to ensure that water will only flow out when you want it to, which also means it won’t leak in your bag.
Mimi Green Yogi Leash
My second (and final) premium item selection was this stylish leash from Mimi Green. It features a fun “Miami” vibe and is perfect for warm summer strolls. The leash is handmade in the USA and measures 5 feet long by 1 inch wide. A black metal clasp assures that it’ll stay put on your furry friend’s collar.
BoxDog Gourmet Bone-Shaped Cookies
All of the treats BoxDog includes in their shipments are handmade in the USA using pure, human-grade ingredients (they even taste test them!). They’re all packed in recyclable containers and are taped closed to ensure maximum freshness. These cute bone-shaped cookies are made with just flour, honey, vegetable oil, and vanilla.
BoxDog Gourmet Frosted Cookies
Aww… How cute are these cut-outs?! My daughters both asked if they could eat them. 😉 I said no, but technically they could, being that they’re made with people-friendly flour, honey, vegetable oil, vanilla, and yogurt-based frosting. We received two adorable reptile themed cookies — a turtle and an alligator.
BoxDog Guava & Queso Pastelitos
Pastelitos are a Cuban treat consisting of baked puff pastry filled with sweet or savory fillings. These dog-friendly ones are made with oat flour, organic brown rice flour, peanut butter, eggs, guava paste, cream cheese, honey, and cinnamon.
BoxDog Gourmet Dog Cake – FREE Bonus Item
If I were a dog, I would be VERY stoked to receive this beautifully decorated little birthday cake. Heck, even as a human I’m impressed. The packaging was adorable too! I didn’t notice the label on the bottom of the box until later so I didn’t snap a photo of it, but this “cake” is made with a blend of flour, honey, shortening, vanilla, and yogurt frosting. Yum!
BoxDog Dog Chew(?)
Okay, I’m not 100% sure what this is or what it’s made of, but I think it’s safe to say that it’s some sort of meat-based dog chew. This is where an info card — especially for non-dog owners like myself — would have come in handy. 😉
BoxDog Blueberry Facial
As mentioned earlier, you can expect to receive a cruelty-free, vegan-friendly skincare item in every box. I wasn’t able to find any information about this blueberry facial on their website, but I may have missed it.
BoxDog is clearly a fun subscription for anyone looking to pamper their pup. I really like how they give you the option of selecting 2 of the premium items to better customize the box to your dog’s individual needs. The quality of the handmade treats and the transparency of their ingredients was also a big plus! 😀 — Remember, for a limited time new subscribers will receive a FREE gourmet dog cake ($19 value) with their first box!
