I was recently sent the debut Beauty Box for review, so…
Let’s see what’s in the December 2015 Boxwalla Beauty Box!
The box itself was unlike any others that I’ve received. It’s super sturdy and has an almost… upholstered feel to it. According to their website, the boxes and the information inserts are made from tree-free paper that is handmade from cotton scraps. Pretty neat!
A peek inside!
The theme for December’s box was “Winter Evenings”. The info card listed all of the items inside, along with how to use them and why they were chosen.
Soap & Paper Factory Snow Drop Shea Butter Hand Cream ($10) – Could the packaging on this hand cream be any prettier?! Perfect for the holiday season! It’s packed with nourishing butters & oils and features a festive winter vanilla scent. Yum!
Aura Candle Travel Tin in “Muse” ($14) – Woo! I’m always happy to get more candles! This one is soy-based, pthalate-free, and has a lead-free wick. It features a blend of vanilla orchid, tobacco flower, and amber scents.
Lilikoi Living Bamboo Buff Exfoliating Facial Wash ($32) – An all natural exfoliating face wash made with finely crushed bamboo. It also contains beneficial antioxidants including passionflower fruit extract and raspberry seed oil. It’s infused with real essential oils, which makes it smell amazing!
Aunt Nancy’s Handmade Soap ($6 for both) – Two bars of all natural, handmade soaps were included: “Carrot & Goat Milk Unscented” and “Christmas Spice”. The first bar is said to work well as a face cleanser, while the second one is great for the entire body. Both bars are made with goat’s milk ( 🙁 ), so these will be used for extra Christmas presents. — A total bummer, since the Christmas Spice one smells SO good!
Hurrraw! Moon Balm ($4.29) – This 100% vegan lip balm contains premium organic and raw ingredients including avocado oil, argan oil and blue chamomile. It’s super moisturizing and designed to use at night so you awaken with beautifully restored and hydrated lips.
I am SO impressed with the first Boxwalla Beauty Box! Everything was beautifully done, from the design of the box itself, to the curation of the products inside. It’s certainly one of the more higher-priced beauty boxes out there, but the products were great and the value is clearly there. A well done debut for sure!
