Let’s see what’s in my August 2017 BuddhiBox!
Starting with July’s shipment, BuddhiBox started sending their “boxes” in reusable canvas bags to be more eco-conscious.
A peek in the bag!
The info card included descriptions of each product as well as their retail prices. It also indicated if an item is vegan, organic, and/or cruelty free.
Lilac & Willow Smudge Chakra Candle ($16)
Candles are something I never tire of seeing in subscription boxes. This one features an earthy, herbal scent with notes of sage, lavender, and cedar to “align, balance, & cleanse”. It’s made with a blend of aromatherapy-grade essential oils, herbs, flowers, pure soy wax, and hemp wicks to ensure a slow, even burn.
From Molly with Love Heart Chakra Spray ($18)
This aromatherapy essential oil spray was designed for use during meditation, yoga or any type of healing work to help open, balance and expand the energy in your heart chakra. I’m not crazy about the floral-inspired scent — a blend of rose, bergamot, and geranium — but it does smell calming.
BuddhiBox Chakra Wrist Mala Bracelet ($25)
I love the pairing of colored beads — one to represent each of the seven chakras — with these pretty black lava stones and silver accents. I actually have a similar piece with sandalwood beads that I wear quite often. This one isn’t quite as snug as I would like it to be, but it’s too pretty not to wear. 😉
Orange Calcite Healing Stone ($10)
According to the info card, orange calcite is known as “The Enchantment Stone” and can aid in removing unwanted creative blocks. It’s also highly energizing to one’s health and life force & is known to enhance creativity. Unlike most of the other stones I’ve received from BuddhiBox, this one was super smooth to the touch and not as “rocky” if that makes sense.
Blend Bee Crown Chakra Blend Tea ($8)
It looks like this tea was created exclusively for (by?) BuddhiBox to take care of our 7th chakra (crown). It features a blend of raspberry leaf, sarsaparilla root, lavender, lemon peel, lemongrass, gotu kola, and lemon balm. It’s organic, naturally caffeine-free, and vegan-friendly. 🙂
Palo Santo ($4)
Palo santo, aka “holy wood”, is known to have cleansing & healing properties that aid in keeping us grounded and clear. To release its’ energy, light the wood while holding at a 45 degree angle and allow to burn for about 30 seconds. After blowing it out, simply walk around with it in your hand to clear the energy in your space.
Alighten Nutritive Revitalizing Facial Oil ($3)
An all natural facial oil formulated with watermelon, pumpkin, spinach, blueberry, and rose hip seed oils to gently clarify & revitalize your skin. According to the info card, it’s super moisturizing without feeling too heavy.
7 Chakras Energy Centers
Instead of the usual yoga pose card, this month included a handy guide to the 7 chakras.
Overall, I enjoyed most of the products featured in August’s BuddhiBox. My favorites were the chakra bracelet, Lilac & Willow candle, Blend Bee tea, and palo santo. The total value of everything this month was $84! 🙂 — Thinking about signing up for BuddhiBox yourself? — You can save 20% on your first month with coupon code “yogaaddict“!
