June BuddhiBox time!
If you’re new to them, BuddhiBox is a subscription box that focuses on yoga and healthy living. Each month you’ll receive 4-6 full sized products to assist in your yoga practice, as well as everyday life. All products are from ethical, socially conscious companies and a portion of all boxes sold is donated to a different non-profit organization every month.
Subscriptions are $30.95/month or less with multi-month commitments. They also offer a sample box for $11.95/month that includes 2-3 product samples and coupons.
Let’s see what’s in my June BuddhiBox!
The little brown BuddhiBox… box.
The info card includes descriptions of each product as well as their retail prices. It also indicates if an item is vegan, organic, or cruelty free. Every month a portion of their sales are given to a different charity. This month it’s Connections to Success, an organization helps individuals break the cycle of poverty and achieve their dreams.
Vigilant Eats Superfood Cereal ($8) – I want to like this cereal! I really do! I’ve tried it before and sadly, just wasn’t a fan. Which is a shame because all of the flavors are certified organic, vegan, gluten-free, and made with non-GMO ingredients. There’s even a tiny spoon included in each one for healthy eating on the go.
Indo-Love Jewelry Namaste Bracelet ($20) – Indo-Love makes jewelry that allows you to “wear your intentions”. This adjustable aluminum bracelet is hand-stamped with the word “namaste”, which means “I bow to the divine in you” and is often incorporated into yoga practices.
Real Beauty for a Cause Detox Mask & Toner Tab ($17.50) – I love natural face masks and use one every time I indulge in a bubble bath. This one is made with bentonite clay, activated charcoal, and other all-natural ingredients. Just mix the powder with equal parts water, smooth onto your face, and leave on for 20 minutes or until it dries completely. Also included was a “toner tab”, which actually looks like it might be a shower tab, according to the photos on their site. I’m much more likely to use a shower tab than a “toner”/face tab, so I’ll just go with that.
Foursee Apparel Yoga Sugarskull Cotton Tote ($10) – I have sooo many totes, thanks to subscription boxes. I’m seriously running out of room to store them all! That said, this one is pretty cute. It’s also on the thinner side, which I kinda like, since it’s less bulky. I wouldn’t trust it to carry groceries or anything heavy, but it would work to hold a few yoga essentials, a change of clothes, etc.
Grokker Free 30 Day Pass ($14.99) & Kalika Fortin Music Download ($10) – Grokker is a site that features tons of videos on fitness, yoga, cooking, healthy living, and more. BuddhiBox included a free 30-day pass to explore everything the site has to offer. Also included was a free download of Kalika Fortin’s new album of “uplifting chants & intimate songs honoring traditions lost and found”.
June’s featured yoga pose is “Cobra”. Full “instructions” are included on the reverse side of the card.
This month’s featured recipe is for Chinese Orange Cauliflower. Looks interesting… and it’s vegan!
June’s BuddhiBox had a total value of over $80! Nice. While this wasn’t my favorite box from them, it certainly wasn’t bad. I think I’d appreciate the items more this month if I, you know, actually did yoga. 😉
