My BuddhiBox arrived a little later than usual this month, but it’s here and it’s nice, so all is well. 😉
If you’re new to them, BuddhiBox is a subscription box that focuses on yoga and healthy living. Each month you’ll receive 4-6 full sized products to assist in your yoga practice, as well as everyday life. All products are from ethical, socially conscious companies and a portion of all boxes sold is donated to a different non-profit organization every month.
Subscriptions are $30.95/month or less with multi-month commitments. They also offer a sample box for $11.95/month that includes 2-3 product samples and coupons.
Let’s see what’s in May’s BuddhiBox!
As always, the actual BuddhiBox was shipped inside a slightly larger box, to keep its contents safely in tact.
The info card includes descriptions of each product as well as their retail prices. It also indicates if an item is vegan, organic, or cruelty free. Every month a portion of their sales are given to a different charity. This month it’s Fly Buddha Foundation, a nonprofit that “assists women with gynecological cancer in the preservation of their fertility”.
Below the Oak Vixen Solid Perfume ($20) – I couldn’t find this exact scent in their Etsy shop, so I’m not sure what fragrances are in it, but it smells fantastic. It’s made with essential oils and has a very light and natural scent.
Sweathouse Brands Yoga Towel ($6) – This super absorbent towel is made of 100% cotton and is perfect for wiping away sweat during yoga sessions. It can also be used as a strap to deepen your postures.
Poppy & Elle Headbands ($6) – A set of 3 elastic headbands to keep your hair in place. I received silver, olive green, and black.
Go Macro Bar in Banana & Almond Butter (~$1) – This macrobiotic bar is vegan, gluten-free, non-GMO, and made with organic ingredients. It’s also high in protein and delicious.
Sweathouse Brands Lavender Saucha Spray (~$6) – A handy spray that you can spritz on your clothing, yoga mat, etc. after you get your sweat on to prevent “set-in funk”. It’s an all-natural formula that effectively kills bacteria on a variety of fabrics.
Frisky Fish Fresh Scented Oil Blend ($14) – I love this! It’s an essential oil blend with a handy dandy rollerball applicator. It’s made with lemon & lavender essential oils that smell fresh and clean. Perfect to toss in your bag for when you need a little freshening up.
Lasting Smiles Peppermint Balm ($5) – The info card noted a “passion fruit mango” balm, so I was a little bummed to get peppermint. Of course, I have a stockpile of about 90368 lip balms thanks to subscription boxes, so no biggie.
Yokibics Four AM Yoga Meditation Downloads ($10) – A download of four guided meditations to help you start your day with a little zen.
May’s featured yoga pose is “Bird of Paradise”. Full “instructions” are included on the reverse side of the card.
This month’s recipe is for a simple 3-ingredient treat — Date & Almond Chocolates. Mmmm!
I’m totally impressed with the nice mix of products that BuddhiBox included for May’s box. As always, the value was great too — about $68 total!
