May 2018 BuddhiBox review time!
If you’re new here, BuddhiBox is a subscription box that focuses on yoga and healthy living. Each month you’ll receive 4-6 full sized products to assist in your yoga practice, as well as everyday life. All products are from ethical, socially conscious companies and a portion of all boxes sold is donated to a different non-profit organization every month.
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
Subscriptions are $30.95/month or less with multi-month commitments. They also offer a sample box for $11.95/month that includes 2-3 product samples and coupons. — New subscribers can save 20% on your first month with coupon code “yogaaddict“!
Let’s see what’s in my May 2018 BuddhiBox!
The box!
A peek inside.
BuddhiBox now sends their “boxes” in reusable canvas bags. Every bag features a new yogi-inspired phrase/mantra each month.
An info card included descriptions of each product as well as their retail prices. It also indicated if an item is vegan, organic, and/or cruelty free.
Matr Boomie Copper Bell ($18)
How neat looking is this little bell? Made by a community in the desert Kutch region of India, this piece is a mini version of the classic bells that farmers would use to identify their livestock. Each bell is hammered into shape from recycled tin & iron sheets and each one has its own unique sound.
Oiliving Life Up’Go Energizing Spray ($12)
“Up’Go” is an essential oil blend designed to stimulate the nervous system and give you a boost of energy/alertness. It includes essential oils of rosemary, orange, grapefruit, peppermint, lemongrass, and bergamot blended with distilled spring water & witch hazel. To use, simply spritz on your body, linens, or into the air as a room spray.
Glow For a Cause “Inspire” Body Butter ($12)
I’ve received this body butter in various subscription boxes over the last few years and while it isn’t my favorite (the scent is a bit too strong for me), it’s still a nice product. Its ultra rich formula contains moisturizing oils of coconut, jojoba, sunflower, vitamin E, and other skin-nourishing ingredients. It’s also paraben, phthalate, and gluten free.
Evnea Wellness “Revitalizing Blend” Organic Greek Mountain Tea (sample)
The listed value for this tea on the info card was $16, but the label clearly reads “sample” so I’m guessing that was a typo? Either way, this sounds like some really nice quality tea. The blend consists of Greek Mountain Tea (sideritis scardica) aka “Nectar of the Gods”, lemon balm, peppermint, and sage. It offers many health benefits including improved digestion, a strengthened immune system, suppression of the common cold & sinus congestion, and more.
Delia Organics Refresh Facial Mist ($20)
I don’t typically use facial mists, but this one actually sounds like something I’d try. It’s made with just 2 simple ingredients: organic peppermint leaf/flower/stems and distilled water. Spritz it on your face after the gym, when you wake up, or any time you could use a boost of hydration and calming aromatherapy.
Original Way Honey Calcite Crystal ($6)
This pretty honey-colored crystal can help bring about a new sense of self-worth, aid in recovery from difficult situations, or to simply keep you feeling strong and confident. Tuck it in your purse to carry its good vibes with you throughout the day.
This month’s featured yoga pose was “Uttanasana” (aka Standing Forward Bend). Full “instructions” were included on the reverse side of the card.
Another fun collection of yoga-inspired goodies from BuddhiBox! My favorite items were the Matr Boomie copper bell, Oiliving Up’Go spray, body butter, and Delia Organics facial mist. The total value of everything in May’s box was just under $70! 🙂 — Thinking about signing up for BuddhiBox yourself? — You can save 20% on your first month with coupon code “yogaaddict“!
Lara
This woman is running a scam. I signed up for a recurring subscription and got 2 boxes. My card was charged on April 28th for the May box. I then canceled the recurring subscription. I noticed today that I had still not received the May box. When I contacted her, it was the first time she had even noticed. She gave me some story about her checks and balances and system, yet failed to take responsibility for it. If I hadn’t noticed, she would have kept my money and not sent the product. She offered to send me a box, I said no that I want a refund and she refused. I am now going to do a chargeback with my bank and also let everyone know about this. TLDR, was charged, the woman failed to send anything, blamed her “system” instead of taking responsibility, refused a refund.
