November BuddhiBox time!
If you’re new here, BuddhiBox is a subscription box that focuses on yoga and healthy living. Each month you’ll receive 4-6 full sized products to assist in your yoga practice, as well as everyday life. All products are from ethical, socially conscious companies and a portion of all boxes sold is donated to a different non-profit organization every month.
Subscriptions are $30.95/month or less with multi-month commitments. They also offer a sample box for $11.95/month that includes 2-3 product samples and coupons.
Let’s see what’s in my November 2015 BuddhiBox!
The box in a box!
A peek inside.
The info card includes descriptions of each product as well as their retail prices. It also indicates if an item is vegan, organic, and/or cruelty free. Every month a portion of their sales are given to a different charity. This month it’s Exhale to Inhale, an organization who empowers survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse with the healing power of yoga.
Stinky Yogi Natural Perfume ($30) – A 100% natural perfume made with therapeutic-grade essential oils and other (all natural) ingredients. Made in small batches, this is an ideal way to wear a scent without having to worry about questionable (possibly skin irritating) ingredients. Unfortunately, I have an annoying cold right now so I can’t tell you what this actually smells like. 🙁
Vapur Reusable Water Pouch ($10) – I’ve seen these in other boxes (and may have received one?) and while it’s a neat concept, I’m not sure that I’d ever use it. I’d say it’s designed for more active people (which I am NOT) to have a convenient way of toting water around without having to worry about bulky bottles. Once the water is gone, simply roll the pouch up and tuck it in your bag. Easy peasy.
Mat Mist Spray ($12.50) – This natural mist can be used to freshen your yoga mat or any other space that can use a burst of freshness. My cold is preventing me from actually experiencing the scent, but I’m sure the “lemon myrtle peppermint vetiver” blend that I received smells fantastic.
Born Skin Care The Source for Muscles ($10) – Soothe your sore muscles naturally with this blend of organic eucalyptus oil, muscadine oil, and menthol. This formula is especially effective on neck and back pain… Just massage a layer into the skin twice daily for optimum relief.
Speak Like a Yogi Mantra Download Card & Wish Bracelet ($32) – A free download of Speak Like a Yogi Simple Sanskrit Instruction. Includes 20 yoga poses, pronunciation guide, and how to namaste. Also included on the card is a colorful “wish bracelet”.
This month’s featured yoga pose is “Scale Pose”. Full “instructions” are included on the reverse side of the card.
The featured recipe — Pumpkin Spice Cashew Cups — sounds amazing!
To be totally honest, I wasn’t too crazy about this month’s BuddhiBox. Most of the products in the box are things I won’t ever use… However, I’m sure if I were actually into practicing yoga (or any other form of exercise!), I would find the items a lot more useful. As always, the value was impressive at over $90 in product! Nice.
