BuddhiBox time!
If you’re new here, BuddhiBox is a subscription box that focuses on yoga and healthy living. Each month you’ll receive 4-6 full sized products to assist in your yoga practice, as well as everyday life. All products are from ethical, socially conscious companies and a portion of all boxes sold is donated to a different non-profit organization every month.
Subscriptions are $30.95/month or less with multi-month commitments. They also offer a sample box for $11.95/month that includes 2-3 product samples and coupons.
Let’s see what’s in my September 2015 BuddhiBox!
Everything was packed into the familiar square BuddhiBox… box.
The info card includes descriptions of each product as well as their retail prices. It also indicates if an item is vegan, organic, and/or cruelty free. Every month a portion of their sales are given to a different charity. This month it’s Sgt. Pepper’s Friends, a foundation dedicated to rescuing and rehoming abandoned dogs and cats.
Love Reusable Snack Pouch Set ($12) – No matter how big my stash of them gets, I never tire of receiving reusable snack bags. These ones feature a food-safe PEVA coating, a handy Velcro closure, and a classic striped design. They’re also top rack dishwasher safe for easy cleaning.
No Sweat Laundry Detergent ($6) – This “secret agent sports wash” contains a special blend of ingredients that helps to get the funkiest of funk out of your clothes. It also removes stains, protects fabrics, and preserves fit. The bottle contains enough detergent for 4 loads.
Co Pur Hair & Body Butter ($22) – A hair mask and body butter in one, this product is made with 100% natural ingredients including shea butter, coconut oil, and avocado oil. For a mask, just apply it to your hair for up to 20 minutes and rinse. It’s infused with bergamot and lavender oils for a nice, calming scent.
Rickaroon Vegan Macaroon ($3) – I love macaroons and was happy to see this vegan-friendly one included in the box. It’s not only vegan, but also gluten-free, soy-free, and 100% organic. Yum!
Ground 2 Table Spice Blend Packet ($2) – An organic spice blend in a convenient one-use packet. They describe the packets as being “waste-free”, which makes no sense since you’re essentially producing more trash by using individual packets than you would if you bought one full bottle… So… Yeah. I don’t get it.
There was also supposed to be an “Ease Up Headache Relief Rollerball” ($14) included in my box, but it was MIA. 🙁
This month’s featured yoga pose is “Downward Facing Dog”. Full “instructions” are included on the reverse side of the card.
September’s BuddhiBox seemed a little less yoga-focused than usual, but that’s fine with me. It’s always nice to get more practical, daily use type items. I’m kinda bummed that my box was missing an item though. Ah well. As always, the value was impressive at around $60 in products (includes the missing item).
