Let’s see what’s in my December 2016 Candy Club box!
Everything shipped in a surprisingly heavy box with the Candy Club logo on the top and sides.
A peek inside! — Since my box contained chocolate, everything was tucked under a sheet of insulated bubble wrap.
CANDY!!
A small envelope contained info cards for each one of the candies that I chose.
Each card included full ingredients and nutritional information on the reverse side.
The candies are all shipped in handy lidded containers to keep them fresh.
Hershey Kisses Milk Chocolates – Even though I can’t personally eat any of it, I love that they offer chocolate in the cooler months! Hershey Kisses have always been one of my mom’s all-time favorite candies, so I chose these for her. 🙂
Arway Dark Chocolate Holiday Nonpareils – I remember my grandparents buying these for me all the time when I was little — though I always knew them just as “Snow Caps”. (I still don’t know how to pronounce “nonpareils”. 😉 ) When I saw this festive holiday version, I just had to pick them as one of my selections. I was also kind of hoping they’d be vegan-friendly — being dark chocolate and all — but sadly, they were not. Good news for my dad though, who happily took them home when my parents stopped by the other day. 😉
Barrels of Yum Orange Cream – These individually wrapped barrel-shaped candies were one of my husband’s picks. They’re said to be reminiscent of a classic Creamsicle treat and are surprisingly vegan-friendly! I haven’t tried one yet, but my husband had one earlier and decided that they’re more orange-y than Creamsicle-y, but he really liked the fact that there’s no filling inside — they’re just straight-up old fashioned hard candies.
Nassau Chocolate Duds – Another husband pick, these are comparable to Milk Duds with a caramel center surrounded by smooth milk chocolate. He said these were more like a cross between Whoppers and Milk Duds, though I’m not entirely sure what that means. 😉
Wonka Runts – I always thought these were so neat when I was a kid — especially the banana ones, even though they were my least favorite flavor-wise. 😉 I’ve pretty much outgrown them at this point, but my husband is apparently still quite the fan.
M&M Milk Chocolate – M&Ms have been my girls’ favorite candies since their first taste at age 2. Who can blame ’em? They were always one of my favorites as well and I’m looking forward to the day when a vegan version is widely available. Fingers crossed!
Sweet’s Totally Taffy Sour Salt Water Taffy Mix – In addition to the 6 candies that I chose, I also received a “splash” of sour salt water taffy in apple, cherry, grape, orange, and lemon. My husband ate nearly all of these within a couple days, so I’m guessing he liked ’em. 😉
Phew! That was a lot of candy! Candy Club knows how to pack a LOT of sweets into one monthly box. I love how they give you the option to choose your own candies and that they have chocolate options now. If you’re not big on candy, it also makes a fun (and easy!) gift. — Remember, for a limited time you can get DOUBLE the candy in your first box — 6 tubs in all — for FREE! No coupon code needed.
