I’ve always been curious about bluum, so I finally took the plunge and signed up!

bluum is a monthly subscription box for babies & kiddos from birth through age 5. Every box will contain 5 or more products that are responsibly sourced, eco-friendly and often organic.

There used to be monthly “themes”, but they’ve recently moved away from that and instead curate each box based upon your child’s current age in months.

MunchPak January 2014 Review & Discount Code!

Okay, so I’m a little late on this MunchPak review… But, hey, better late than never, right? Right-o!

If you’re new to MunchPak, they’re a monthly sub that sends you a big ol’ box of snacks from around the world. You can expect to receive goodies from Japan, Canada, Australia, Sweden, and other snack-producing countries. They also throw a few local treats in there too. Oh, and if you’re hardcore into snacking, you can choose to receive the boxes weekly or bi-weekly!

MunchPak has 2 different size options to choose from: The Original MunchPak (starting at $21 monthly) and The FamilyPak (starting at $39 monthly). This review is for the Original MunchPak.

Yay! Citrus Lane day! This is one of my favorite subs and I always get (a little too) excited when I see it on my doorstep.

If you don’t already know, Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription for babies/kids (aged newborn-5). It’s $29/month (cheaper with longer subs) and includes a nice assortment of toys, books, snacks, toiletries, etc. Sometimes they even include a gift for mom. (They did this time. Yay!)

February’s box was loosely themed with “items that we hope will brighten up the dismal weather”… Which is awfully close to last month’s “items that will remind you that spring is right around the corner”. Eh, whatever. I’m sure it’s not easy to think of unique themes every month. This box was tailored to a 19-month old girl.

Vegan Presence is one! Yep, February marks their big one-year anniversary — Happy anniversary, VP! Thanks for doin’ what you do! 😀

If you haven’t heard, Vegan Presence is a monthly subscription box service that features — you guessed it — exclusively vegan-friendly products. Items can range from food to beauty to household essentials. This is by-far one of my favorite subscription boxes! They’re always packaged oh-so-prettily too! iHeartMD February 2014 Launch Box Review

iHeartMD is a brand new monthly subscription dedicated to promoting a heart-healthy lifestyle. Boxes will contain products related to nutrition, exercise, and stress management. (Did you know that February is Heart Awareness Month? No?! Now ya do!)

Each month you’ll receive 5-8 samples, all of which go hand-in-hand with the principles of the traditional Mediterranean diet. All of the products are pre-approved by a panel of 10 board-certified physicians specializing in cardiology — so you KNOW you’re getting good stuff!

iHeartMD also includes monthly members-only digital content that includes nutrition tips, recipes, Q&A sessions, and more. There’s even a loyalty program that allows you to earn points towards future boxes. Oh, and for every box sold, they donate $1 to non-profits that focus on hunger and obesity. Nice!

Adventure Trunk February 2014 Review & Giveaway! Ends 3/10/14

Adventure Trunk is a brand new subscription box geared towards younger kiddos (age 2 to 4). Each box contains 12 different hands-on activities that are approved by a certified elementary education teacher. The activities will focus on math, reading, and art, with one activity dedicated to each area per week. Every month will feature a different kid-friendly theme that the activities will be based on.

Activities included will range from art projects, to stories, sensory activities, puzzles, and more. Every box will also include an “Explorer” booklet, which serves as your “lesson plans” for the month. It details how each activity is to be completed, as well as how to tweak them to match your child’s skill level. The booklet also has a “suggested reading” list that goes along with the theme and ideas for non-box related activities to do in addition to the ones in the box.

From local honey, to homemade chocolates, to handcrafted soap, and everything in between — each Batch has a little something for everyone.

HauteLegs Review & Giveaway

HauteLegs is a monthly subscription service that features the season’s hottest tights and leggings. Each month, you choose 2 of your favorite styles from their customized boutique. They’ll send you those two items, as well as a third “featured item” for that month (along with tips on how to style them). You can also choose to have just 2 pair sent to you — one you choose, and the other the featured item chosen by HauteLegs.

When you initially sign up, you actually get to choose all of the selections yourself for that first month. So if you sign up for 3 pair/month, you’ll get to choose all 3. It’s not until the second month that they introduce the featured item.

HauteLegs is $36 for 3 pair, or $28 for 2. Shipping is always included.

I pretty much live in tights and leggings, so I was super excited when HauteLegs offered to send me a package to review. Yay! [read more…]

Color Me Monthly January 2014 Review

Color Me Monthly is a fun nail polish subscription service that sends one seasonal color to you every month.

All of their polishes are “free of toluene, formaldehyde/formaldehyde resin, dibutyl phthalate (DBP), and camphor” — aka non-toxic. Animal testing is also a big no-no (their polishes are vegan!) and they try to work with vendors who share that sentiment. Awesome!

Oh, and did I mention that Color Me Monthly is only $7/month (shipping included)? Double awesome!

Urthbox January 2014 Review

Urthbox is a relatively new subscription box that delivers healthy foods, snacks, and beverages right to your door every month.

Urthbox focuses on products that are natural, organic, and GMO-free. They have 4 different box options to choose from: Classic, Vegan, Gluten-free, and Diet. Whichever box you choose, you’ll receive at least 10 products from a variety of health-conscious companies. Boxes are $25/month and shipping is free. Oh, and they also have a great rewards program that gives you credits to use in their soon to be opened online shop!

I was supposed to receive the Vegan box, but there was a mixup and I was sent the “Classic” one instead. To make up for it, Urthbox is going to send me February’s Vegan box, so stay tuned for that review in the coming weeks!
