Yay! My August Citrus Lane arrived and for once I wasn’t sure what would be inside… I didn’t really know what box our age range fell into this month, so it was fun to be surprised.
If you haven’t heard, Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription for babies/kids aged newborn-5. It’s $29/month (less with longer term subscriptions) and includes a nice assortment of toys, books, snacks, toiletries, etc. Sometimes they even include a gift for mom. It’s by far one of my favorite boxes to open each month.
My girls are 3 years old, so this box is geared towards that age.
Let’s see what’s inside our August 2015 Citrus Lane box!
August’s box featured a selection of items to enjoy as we look forward to fall. As always, the info card listed everything inside and included a few discount codes on additional items.
Janod Sardine Fishing Game (~$20?) – I LOVE this! It’s a magnetic fishing game that includes 10 colorful sardines and two extendable fishing rods with attached magnetic worms. The rods are made of two separate pieces so that everything fits right inside the big fish tin for storage. I couldn’t find an exact match on Amazon or the Janod site, so I estimated the price based on a similar product.
Bumkins Snack Bag ($4.95) – We have a TON of reusable bags like this (all from subscription boxes), so I’m not too sure if we’ll use this for snacks. I’m thinking an all-purpose bag for holding craft supplies or small toys.
Petit Collage 36 Piece “Mermaid Friends” Puzzle (~$15) – This puzzle was made exclusively for Citrus Lane, so I don’t believe you can find it elsewhere (and it’s why I estimated the price based on another similar product). It’s a 36 piece, 13 x 20″ puzzle that features a pretty underwater mermaid scene. The pieces are made from recycled materials and are printed using vegetable-based inks.
Babyganics Pure Mineral Sunscreen (~$1) – A pure, mineral-based sunscreen that’s tear-free, water resistant, and has a SPF of 30. This sample size is perfect for keeping in my bag for those times when I forget to apply sunscreen or need a quick touch up.
I’m totally happy with my August Citrus Lane box. The magnetic fish game is awesome and I’m so glad we fell in the age group that got it. We don’t need more puzzles or snack bags, but they’ll get used. The value was hard to figure out since I had to estimate some of the items, but I’d say it was definitely worth more than the monthly cost of the subscription.
