My regular Citrus Lane box is still hanging out somewhere in Ohio, but for whatever reason my mom’s box got delivered yesterday. We live like 20 minutes apart, so I have no idea what’s up with that silliness. Anywhooo… let’s check it out!
If you haven’t heard, Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription for babies/kids aged newborn-5. It’s $29/month (less with longer term subscriptions) and includes a nice assortment of toys, books, snacks, toiletries, etc. Sometimes they even include a gift for mom. It’s by far one of my favorite boxes to open each month.
My mom subscribes to this for the girls and ages it up so we don’t get duplicate boxes. I believe this one is for a 3 1/2 year old (or somewhere around there).
Let’s see what’s inside!
All of the “first looks” for Citrus Lane pretty much look the same, don’t they? I’m not sure why I still post these… Ah well, here it is anyway.
The info card. All of the products were listed, along with a short description. This month they also included a code for free shipping on a single item in their shop.
Petit Collage Activity Placemats ($17.95) – This set of 36 placemats features activities to keep little ones occupied while waiting for their meal. The pages are made with 100% recycled wood-free paper and are printed with vegetable based inks. These will be great to take along to restaurants with a few crayons to keep my kiddos entertained before their food arrives.
Blox + Bits from GoldieBlox ($10?) – I couldn’t find this exact item online as it’s just a starter kit, so I guessed on the price. I remember hearing about GoldieBlox a while back when they were in trouble for using a Beastie Boys song in their commercial without prior consent. The publicity clearly worked in their favor, cos here they are! This kit contains 32 pieces as well as a little booklet with design ideas (which I didn’t see until these photos were already taken. Oops!).
Faber-Castell Colored EcoPencils ($5.99) – A set of 12 colored pencils made from 100% reforested wood. They feature a triangular shape that make them easier to grip and harder to roll off the table. These are for ages 5 and up, so I’ll put these away until the girls are old enough to enjoy ’em.
Smarty Pants Kids Complete Vitamins (~$1.00?) – I’m not too thrilled with this one… It’s a tiny sample of 2 gummy vitamins, which we won’t even use because they contain fish and gelatin. I’d much rather have had a little snack item or gift for mom. This just seems… cheap.
I’d say January’s Citrus Lane box was just “okay” for me. The products are all useful (aside from the vitamins), so I don’t hate it, but there was nothing I was overly excited about. The total value using Amazon prices is around $35, so that’s cool.
Citrus Lane has a great offer that ends tonight: New subscribers can get a FREE Valentine’s Bonus Box ($27 value) AND 35% off your first box! Just use coupon code “BEMINE” at checkout. When that offer expires, you can check out my Latest Deals page for new deals!
Disclosure: I purchased this box on my own. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate/referral links. Amazon prices subject to change.
