As with the last few boxes I’ve reviewed, my November Citrus Lane box was also mega late due to the winter storm. It was totally worth the wait though, because I LOVE it!
If you haven’t heard, Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription for babies/kids aged newborn-5. It’s $29/month (less with longer term subscriptions) and includes a nice assortment of toys, books, snacks, toiletries, etc. Sometimes they even include a gift for mom. It’s by far one of my favorite boxes to open each month.
November’s box included products for “encouraging creative play and cognitive development”. This box was geared towards a 2-year old girl.
(Yep, still having lighting issues… Ugh.)
Let’s have a look!
The oh-so-familiar Citrus Lane “first look”. The box was large, so I had high hopes.
Plan Toys Veggie Play Set (~$15) – I was hoping we’d get this set in our box and I was so happy to see the little white bag sticking out of the tissue paper. Yay! This is a Citrus Lane exclusive set of wooden veggies that are held together with velcro so your little one can “cut” them in half with the included wooden knife. Set includes a tomato, zucchini, yellow bell pepper, and mushroom. Flippin’ adorable!
12 and 24 Piece Puzzle Set from Barefoot Books ($11.54) – We have a ton of puzzles, but my girls love them, so I’m happy to get more. This one is actually 2 puzzles in one — a 12 piece scene featuring happy little sheep, and a 24 piece scene with singing birdies. Cute!
Faber-Castell Beeswax Crayons in Storage Case ($7.99) – Perfect! My girls have been coloring like crazy and we have cheap-o crayons that don’t show up very well on most paper. These ones are not only made with beeswax for ultra smooth coloring, but they’re also triangular (won’t roll off the table), and come in a handy dandy storage case.
Babyganics Cold Relief Chest Rub ($13.98) – Wow, this is one expensive chest rub! It’s made with a natural blend of menthol, eucalyptus, rosemary and lavender to help ease your little one’s cough. I like that it’s in stick form — no goopy hands!
Wow! This was SUCH a great box. I’ve been wanting those wooden veggies forever and everything else was just icing on top. There’s not one item that we won’t use. Oh, and the total value of all the items in November’s box (using Amazon prices) is almost $49. Again, SUCH a good box!
