Woo! My Citrus Lane box came early this month. Of course I pretty much knew what would be inside thanks to spoilers, but still. Early=good.
Everyone probably knows the drill… Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription for babies/kids aged newborn-5. It’s $29/month (less with longer term subscriptions) and includes a nice assortment of toys, books, snacks, toiletries, etc. Sometimes they even include a gift for mom. It’s by far one of my favorite boxes to open each month.
October’s theme was pretty broad… Basically items to use indoors and keep little ones entertained as the weather gets cooler. This box is geared towards a 26-month old girl.
October’s box featured a pink design in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness and Men’s Health. It also had punch-out pink mustaches/”bow-staches” that you can stick on your lil’ one to show support for the causes.
The familiar yellow tissue paper… What could be lurking below?!
Inside October’s Citrus Lane Box
Janod Taxi Story City Set ($9.99) – How cute is this?! It’s a wooden taxi with moving wheels, along with a solid wood scooter dude. I’ve seen these Janod sets before and always thought they were super neat. Both of my girls have been all about cars lately (anything with wheels = a car), so I knew they’d love this.
Janod Pink Car Story Set ($9.99?) – Another set! This one was made exclusively for Citrus Lane, so I just used the taxi link/price again. I appreciate that they made a more “girly” set, but I’m sure my kiddos would have played with it no matter what the color. So stinkin’ adorable.
Hohner Kids Maracitos ($9.25) – We have a few other Hohner Kids instruments from previous Citrus Lane boxes and my girls love ’em. These maracitos are no exception. We’ve only had them for about 24 hours and they’ve been shaken, fought over, and thrown more times than I can count. Surprisingly, the sound doesn’t even bother me. The fights, on the other hand…
Ooh La Leggies in “Pink Lemonade” ($10.00) – Our age group got to choose from 3 different deigns of these fun legwarmers. (It was either solid pink, cupcake themed, or these polka-dots.) We have a bunch of these but I never seem to remember to use them. They’re one size fits most and can be worn by newborns through adults. I’m actually considering wearing them under my boots (ruffles are totally acceptable in your 30’s right??).
C (and “Wanda”) totally approve of their new cars.
October’s Citrus Lane box was definitely a hit for us. The girls love their new toys and I’m happy I finally got to check out the cool Janod sets. The total value of everything (using Amazon prices) comes to $39.23, which is definitely more than what I paid for the box. (Plus, I got a free box of girly bandages as an add-on using a promo code I they sent via email.) Win!
If you’d like to sign up for Citrus Lane, you can get your first box for 50% off PLUS a FREE Aden & Anais Burpy Bib set ($22 value)! Just use promo code “NEWMOMDEAL” at checkout. Offer good through October 19th, or while supplies last. (Once that expires, you can always save 50% on your first box just by clicking this Citrus Lane referral link.)
*As of December 2015, Citrus Lane is no longer in business. If you’re looking for an alternative, bluum is a great choice. — You can see my reviews of them here.
