Citrus Lane time!
If you haven’t heard, Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription for babies/kids aged newborn-5. It’s $29/month (less with longer term subscriptions) and includes a nice assortment of toys, books, snacks, toiletries, etc. Sometimes they even include a gift for mom. It’s by far one of my favorite boxes to open each month.
My girls are 3 years old, so this box is geared towards that age.
Let’s see what’s inside our October 2015 Citrus Lane box!
The first look was kinda underwhelming this month. For some reason they didn’t include their signature yellow tissue paper and I was also missing an info card. :/
Plus Plus Midi Basic 20-Piece Set ($12.97) – The simple design of these Denmark-made blocks make it easy to make both flat 2D designs, as well as abstract 3D creations. This midi size is perfect for preschoolers, since it’s 2.5 times larger than the mini basic sets. My toddlers have a zillion toys with small pieces laying around, so I’ll be putting these away for later use. 😉
Mudpuppy Sweet Treats Starter Stencils – ($12.67) – This cute stencil set contains 10 sturdy cardboard cards that feature sweet treats like cupcakes, candies, cakes, lollipops, and more. They’re printed with soy-based inks and come with their own tin storage case.
Little Adventures Reversible Power Mask ($5.20) – Just in time for Halloween, a reversible superhero mask! I didn’t think to take a photo of the other side, but while this side is a hot pinky purple color, the other is a lighter shade of pink.
Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Dish Soap (~$1) – Biodegradable dish soap sample. Not the most exciting item, but useful nonetheless.
Groovebook Offer ($5.98) – Also included was a free 2-month trial to Groovebook, an app that lets you choose photos from your phone to have printed in a 4.5 x 6.5 inch book every month. I remember seeing this on Shark Tank and always thought of giving it a try. Now I can (for free)!
While not the most exciting Citrus Lane box to date, I was still happy with the contents. Everything will get used at some point or another, so I can’t complain. I’m looking forward to starting my Groovebook trial too. All totaled, the October box had a value of roughly $38. Not bad!
