A few weeks ago, Citrus Lane released another round of mystery boxes. I had enough credits in my account to cover the box, so I decided to grab the “Toddler Girl — Goodbyn” one.
Citrus Lane mystery boxes are almost always $29 and promise to include $60 worth of age-appropriate items. They usually offer a box for each age group and gender and just one item is revealed for each box — sort of like a teaser — and the rest remains a mystery until it’s delivered.
What’s Inside October’s Citrus Lane Mystery Box
We had received a pink Goodbyn in a previous box, so I figured it would be nice to have one for each of the girls. I had no idea what else would be in the box, so let’s have a look!
Goodbyn Hero in Pink ($12.99) – I got this back in my June box and though we haven’t gotten a chance to use it yet, I thought it wouldn’t hurt to have two. Bento-style containers are so fun and this one is BPA & phthalate free, as well as dishwasher safe. It has one big compartment for sandwiches/salads/etc, two smaller ones for sides/dips/etc., and two removable “dipper” containers with lids.
Faber-Castell Creativity for Kids Fun Things to Color A-Z ($4.99) – A coloring book with nice, sturdy pages featuring each letter of the alphabet and an easy-to-color image that corresponds with that letter. The book is 24 pages long and includes 8 washable markers. My girls both know almost every letter of the alphabet and E loves to color, so this is perfect.
Hello Books Princess Castle DIY Book Kit ($9.95) – A DIY story kit that includes a fold out “book” with die-cut pages, 5 sheets of removable stickers, and ideas & inspiration to get your little one started. I think I actually traded for one of these a while ago (may have been a different theme), so it’ll be nice to have two when the girls are ready to use them.
North American Bear Co. Tabby Cat Plush Goody Bag ($11.99) – I’ve seen this in the Citrus Lane shop and always thought about ordering it for C, who absolutely LOVES anything kitty-related. So needless to say, I was super stoked to see it in my mystery box. It’s supposed to be a goody bag/purse type thing, but C just likes carrying it around and yelling “KITTY!” whenever she sees it. Ah, toddlers.
Melissa & Doug Create-a-Craft Wooden Princess Doll ($4.99) – We’re not too big on princesses (well, at least I’m not… the girls are indifferent), so I wasn’t too excited about this doll. However, I do like Melissa & Doug and this should make a nice rainy day activity when the girls get a little older.
“Color” by Alexander Girard ($14.69) – I would have been happy to receive this book… IF I hadn’t already traded for it a couple months ago. Womp-womp. Ah well, maybe I can trade this one now?
The total of all the items (using Amazon prices) comes to $59.60 — right around the $60 promised. Nice! My favorite items are the Goodbyn, kitty bag, and color/story books.
Mystery Boxes aren’t currently available (I’m sure more will be announced soon), but if you’d like to sign up for the regular Citrus Lane box, you can save 50% on your first month by using the promo code “FIRST” at checkout. — I’m not sure when that code expires, but if it doesn’t work, you can always use this link to Get 50% OFF Your First Box (no code needed!).
