Woohoo! My mom has yet to cancel her Citrus Lane subscription, so once again we got a second box this month. Yay!
For those who still don’t know, Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription for babies/kids aged newborn-5. It’s $29/month (cheaper with longer subs) and includes a nice assortment of toys, books, snacks, toiletries, etc. Sometimes they even include a gift for mom.
As mentioned in my first September review, this month’s box focused on the coming fall season and spending more time indoors. I was lucky enough to get the Octo Light I wanted in that box, so I was hoping to get a certain Melissa & Doug item (that I’d seen in other reviews) in this box.
Oh, I think this box fits into the 3-year old age group or pretty close to it.
Yesss! The info card confirmed that I did indeed receive the item I was hoping for! I got super lucky this month!
Melissa & Doug Red Shape Sorting Clock – I love this! My girls are all about shape sorters and are just starting to take interest in learning numbers. The packaging says that it’s for ages 3+, but they’ve both done really well figuring out which shape goes where. Well, except for those damn pentagons & hexagons. 😉 (Amazon Price: $22.98)
Little Red Hen Book & CD Set from Barefoot Books – Books are always great to see in subscription boxes and this one is too cute. I love how the neat paper/collage “illustrations” make the pages have a 3D look to them. This is the kind of book I would have loved when I was little and I hope my girls feel the same. There’s even a simple recipe for bread at the end of the story. Cute! Oh yeah, and it also includes a CD that looks to be narrated by Debra Messing. (Amazon Price: $13.59)
Boon Pieces Foam Bath Puzzle – We actually have a bit of a surplus of Boon bath toys. I got one as an add-on this month, and my other box included one as well. So this’ll probably go into the trade pile. It is neat though. — 10 foam puzzle pieces that stick to the side of the tub for bathtime puzzle makin’ fun. Plus they don’t hold water, so no risk of mold or mildew. Always a good thing. (Amazon Price: $9.99)
Somersaults Cinnamon Crunch Nuggets – I’ve gotten these in a few other subscription boxes and they’re super good. They’re little baked nuggets made with sunflower seeds and toasted grains. Not all of the flavors are vegan, but these ones are, so yay! (Amazon Price: roughly $0.50 for this sample size)
I’m SO happy with both of my Citrus Lane boxes this month! We use the Octo Light in the girl’s room every night and they’re already big fans of the shape sorter clock. All totaled, the items in this box comes to a value of $47.06! Awesome!!
