JJ’s Sweets is a candy company dedicated to making delicious treats that are not only made with natural ingredients, but are also both vegan and gluten-free. Their most notable treat? The almighty Cocomel!
Cocomels are “the original coconut milk caramels” and they are freakin’ DELICIOUS! The lil’ pieces of awesomeness are artisan-made in copper kettles using only organic/non-GMO ingredients and are 100% dairy-/gluten-free. They are also very, very addictive. (Trust me.)
I was lucky enough to try the Original Cocomels in a subscription box a few months ago, but hadn’t had a chance to try the other flavors. Needless to say, I was beyond excited when JJ’s Sweets offered to send me a sampler package for review. So. Excited.
Original Cocomels – This is where Cocomels began: A simple, classic caramel candy with a unique, creamy coconut base. While it may taste like a “regular” caramel, it’s actually a lot healthier since there’s no dairy in these guys. Instead, you get all of the good-for-you benefits of coconut oil. Woohoo!
Sea Salt Cocomels – Take the original Cocomels, add a touch of sea salt, and this is what you get. Sea Salt Cocomels! To be totally honest, I’m not a big fan of salty things, but I really couldn’t taste much difference between these and the “regular” ones. Are sea salt caramels not supposed to be noticeably “salty”? I honestly don’t know… As a longtime vegan, it’s been quite a while since I’ve eaten any “traditional” caramels. 😉
Espresso Cocomels – Woah. When I saw these I couldn’t wait to try ’em — I had no idea they even existed! Espresso flavored caramels? Heck yes! Needless to say, they were delicious. Sooo good. The perfect combo of organic espresso beans and chewy coconut milk decadence. I type this description with great sadness, as my precious Espresso Cocomels are long gone. 🙁
Vanilla Cocomels – No artificial flavorings here! These are made with pure organic vanilla extract. The result is a rich, chewy caramel bursting with sweet vanilla goodness. Mmmm!
Impressive, right?
Yep, they stretch like “real” caramel too! 😉
So after learning all about the wonder that is the Cocomel, I bet you’re wishing you had some of these glorious little morsels of your own. Yes? Wellll…
It just so happens that JJ’s Sweets has offered to give one lucky reader a Cocomels prize pack that includes 2 boxes of Cocomels (your choice of flavors!), a Cocomels t-shirt, and a package of Chocolate-Covered Cocomels! (Lucky you!!!) Just enter via the Rafflecopter below!

I have missed caramels so much since finding out I was allergic to milk and soy. I would love these in any flavor since they are milk and soy free thankfully. I would try the original first since it would be more like I used to eat. Then I’d try them all.

I’m completely in love with the fact that their flavors are all “normal” “plain” flavors. I absolutely love that they have original, sea salt, and vanilla as many companies would have these c
Lumped together into just one flavor….and the coffee one as something a little fun. The only thing I can think would be to have a cinammon one as that would be a nice addition. I love the sound of all these great regular flavors though and would love to try these as they sound and look so yummy! Thanks for the chance to win.

My latest obsession is spicy chocolate! Like jalapeño infused chocolate bars. It would be cool if Cocomels had a flavor that had a slightly spicy kick! Otherwise, I think the espresso sounds to die for!
