Let’s see what’s in my August 2015 Company’s Comin’ box!
Everything was shipped in a small priority mail box.
A peek inside! I had no idea what would be hidden in there.
Chicken Pot Pie Casserole Mix – This mix includes noodles and a chicken base powder. Just add the powder & pasta to water, then throw in some mixed vegetables and chicken. Cook according to the instructions on the bag until pasta is done and pour it into a casserole dish. Top it with store-bought crescent roll dough and bake until browned. Easy!
Mexican Casserole Mix – The second casserole has a Mexican twist. It requires a pound of hamburger meat, black or ranch style beans, and Monterey Jack cheese. Just boil the pasta with the mix, drain it, then add the beans & meat and pour into casserole dish. Top with cheese, bake, and eat.
Grandpa Bo’s Baked Potato Soup Mix – I was hoping this would be vegan-friendly (or at least vegetarian), but it contains a chicken base and bacon bits. Ah well. This is a super easy soup that simply involves adding the mix to milk, bring it to a near boil, then simmering until thickened.
Confederate Chicken Enchilada Soup Mix – Another quicky & easy soup mix. Again, just empty the packet into a pot of milk, bring almost to a boil, simmer, and serve once thickened.
Strawberry Reusable Shopping Tote – Every order is shipped inside of a reusable shopping tote and this one is freakin’ ADORABLE. I have no shortage of totes around here, but I think this is the cutest. The left bottom corner of the bag has a thicker red fabric that you can stuff the rest of the bag into when not in use… When all tucked in it looks like a big strawberry. Ahhh! I love it.
Although I won’t be enjoying these mixes myself, I do think Company’s Comin’ is a great subscription for anyone looking to make quick and easy dinners with minimal extra ingredients needed. Plus, I like that they include reusable shopping bags with each shipment. Especially if they’re all as cute as the strawberry one I received!
