Each month you’ll receive a variety of small-batch, high quality items sourced from the best small businesses in Austin. Items can include pantry staples, beverages, ready-to-eat food items, jams, home decor pieces, and more. Coterie Sampler seeks out products that were made using traditional methods and sustainable sourced materials. Above all, they must be of exceptional quality.
Subscriptions are $39.95/month for the Standard (4-6 products) or $59.95 for the Mark (6-8 products).

The box was shipped via 3-day Priority Mail and was very heavy.
A peek inside! I couldn’t wait to see what was buried under all those squigglies.
A two-sided info card listed all of the items in the box, along with a little background on each of the makers.
Skull & Cakebones Rosemary “Gin & Juice” Shortbread Tea Biscuits ($9.95) – So, um, these are vegan and they’re freakin’ awesome. When I first pulled the tube out of the box I was sure it would be something I wouldn’t be able to sample (which I’m obviously pretty used to)… But when I read the label and saw the words “Shh… They’re vegan”, I couldn’t wait to tear ’em open. I wasn’t sure if I’d be into them, since I don’t love savory things, but wow… SO good. They’re rosemary shortbread biscuits/cookies infused with gin and topped with a grapefruit glaze and pink peppercorn. Lots of flavors that work surprisingly well together. Yum! (Why does this all-vegan bakery have to be all the way in Austin?!?)
Confituras Bourbon Brown Sugar Peach Preserves ($10) – Award-winning preserves made with locally sourced fruits and herbs. Ingredients include Texas peaches, organic sugar, and Texas bourbon. I’m thinking this would be amazing on some vanilla ice cream. Mmm.
Lavande Farm Lavender Mosquito Repellent ($10) – A natural alternative to conventional bug repellents, this spray is made with just 3 ingredients: lavender essential oil, distilled water, and grain alcohol. I could have used this last week when we were bombarded by mosquitos at my parent’s house. HATE those things! (The mosquitoes… not my parents. 😉 )
Lenoir Finishing Salt (~$8?) – This is some seriously pretty finishing salt! Look at those colors! It’s a handcrafted blend of large flake sea salt, pink Himalayan salt, Herbes de Tejas (dried herbs with chilies, lavender, and fenugreek), and roasted coriander seeds (dhana dal). According to the label, it’s “good on everything”!
BDJ Craft Works Petite Wall Vase in Box Style with Resin Inlay ($32) – This dainty wall vase is made with either maple, cherry, or walnut (I’m guessing this one is cherry?) and features a hand-inlaid resin design that follows the design/grain of the wood. The glass tube insert is removable for cleaning and is dishwasher safe. I love the simplicity of this small piece and need to figure out the perfect place to hang it.
Sway Organic Fruit-Infused Water ($4) – An all-natural approach to flavored water, this drink is made by infusing organic fruit with purified water for a pure, refreshing taste. It comes in a variety of unique flavors including lemon-blackberry-sage and grapefruit basil.
Sarah’s Sour Cream & Onion Kale Chips ($8) – Oh kale chips, how I wish I liked you. These sour cream & onion flavored ones are made with cashews, dates, garlic, miso, apple cider vinegar, chives, sea salt, and pepper. They’re 100% vegan, organic, raw, and gluten-free.
I am beyond impressed with September’s Coterie Sampler! Since it was a new subscription, I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect, but I LOVE it! I was pleasantly surprised to find that every single product included was vegan-friendly (always a big plus in my book) and there’s not one item that I won’t be able to personally use (well, maybe not the kale 😉 ). The value was great too — roughly $82 in items!
