Let’s see what’s in the August 2016 Creative Mercantile box!

A printed list of all the items in the box was taped to the inside lid.

Two square idea sheets had suggestions on how to use some of the items in August’s box including journal ideas, fun uses for washi tape, and more.

Kindness by Emma Sticker Set – First up is a sheet of funky text-based stickers with a variety of positive “diva-centric” words and phrases. “Good times”, “Barista babe”, “Queen of efficiency”, and more.

Shine Pencil from Caroline Creates – A white painted pencil with the words “Shine on” embossed in metallic gold.

Creative Mercantile Sticker Sheet – More positive/inspirational phrases, as well as funky arrows, coffee cups, patterns, and more.

More Creative Mercantile Sticker Sheets – These sheets featured cute label stickers, whimsical patterns, colorful banners, and more. I’m really diggin’ the pretty blue and green color scheme!

Metal Clips from Heidi Swapp – Ooh! I love the vintage-y look of these sturdy metal clips. So pretty!

Washi Tape – A full roll of washi tape with a nice blue and green watercolor pattern.

Small Journal – This little green journal features blank, unruled pages with a handy elastic closure. The ideas sheet lists plenty of uses for this lil’ guy including a mini scrapbook, travel journal, daily to do lists, and more.

Gel Pen from American Crafts – A smooth-flowing gel pen with black ink. An essential for any stationery/scrapbook enthusiast.

Clear Stamp Set – I actually thought these were stickers at first, until I took them out of their package and noticed that they weren’t sticky. 😉 I’ve never seen “clear stamps” before, but I’m guessing you just use them like traditional stamps?

Washi Tape – Another full roll of washi tape! This one was a solid green color.

Enamel Dots from We R Memory Keepers – To be honest, I’m not too sure what these are used for… Purely decoration? No idea. Nice colors though!

Creative Mercantile Custom Journal Cards – Nope, not sure what these are for either. 😉 I’m guessing to paste into journals/scrapbooks as fun backgrounds? (Maybe?)

Transparent Words from Heidi Swapp – I’m still unsure if the first word above was meant to be “MOM” or “WOW”. I suppose either way works. “Reality check” was much easier to figure out. 🙂

While I’m (clearly) a bit planner/scrapbook-challenged, I was still impressed by the August Creative Mercantile box. I know there’s definitely a large market for planner/journal supplies, so I’m sure this would be a great box for anyone who enjoys the hobby.
