Time to review the April 2017 Degustabox!

Everything was shipped in a big box with the Degustabox logo on the side.
A peek inside! – All of the items were securely packed between a few strategically placed air pillows.
An info sheet listed all of the items inside, as well as brief descriptions, photos, and retail prices for each one.
Chiridos ($1.49 each)
These air-puffed snacks are made with a blend of lentil flour, cricket — yes, cricket — flour, and other natural ingredients. They’re gluten-free, low in fat, and have 4 grams of protein per serving. 3 different flavors were included: Baja Ranchero, Salsa Verde, and Spicy Molé.
Bush’s Hummus Made Easy ($2.29)
This packet includes all of the ingredients (minus the chickpeas) you need to make hummus at home including tahini, olive oil, and spices. Just drain & rinse a can of chickpeas, add to food processor with this packet and blend until smooth. Easy!
Bush’s Garbanzos/Chick Peas ($1)
Chickpeas! I was happy to see that they included a can to be used with the hummus packet above. Yay!
Mutti Double Concentrated Tomato Paste ($2.99)
This tube contains double concentrated tomato paste that can be used to easily add tomato flavor to just about any dish. It contains only two ingredients — 99.5% tomatoes and salt.
PR Bar Yogurt Berry ($2.07)
An all natural endurance bar packed with 16 vitamins and minerals to support your active lifestyle. A single bar has 15 grams of protein and only 210 calories. It’s also certified gluten-free and made in the USA.
Better Oats Steel Cut Maple & Brown Sugar ($3.99)
A whole box (10 pouches) of instant oatmeal made with steel cut oats and flavored with maple & brown sugar. It also contains flaxseed for an extra nutritional boost.
Lovely Candy Co. Chewy Original Caramels ($2.49)

I was a little freaked out by the cricket chips, but my brother will be happy to eat them. When he was stationed overseas, one of his favorite street snacks was either crickets or grasshoppers (I forget which one). He says they taste like buttered popcorn. I will take his word ;).
Ha! I don’t know if anyone in my family is that brave. (Which is silly since they all think eating cows and pigs is no big deal. 😉 )
Did you not get the lingonberry jam? A lot of people got that as a bonus item. I’m hoping I get one too. It looks good.
I did! I wasn’t sure if it was something that everyone was getting (since it wasn’t on the info card), so I left it out of the review. You should probably get it too then. 🙂
