Let’s see what’s in the December 2017 Degustabox!
As always, everything was shipped in a big box with the Degustabox logo on the side.
A peek inside!
An info sheet listed all of the items inside, as well as brief descriptions, photos, and retail prices for each one.
Barilla Ready Pasta ($1.99)
I’ve actually been wanting to try this, so I was excited to see it in the box! — It’s a pouch of fully cooked “al dente” pasta that simply needs to be heated in the microwave for 60 seconds. So easy! Perfect for those days when I’m craving pasta but am too hungry/lazy to wait for dry pasta to cook. 🙂
Barilla Sun-Dried Tomato Pesto ($2.99)
For whatever reason, I had assumed that ALL types of pestos contained cheese. — To my surprise (and delight), this sun-dried tomato pesto is absolutely cheese-free. What it does contain is a blend of diced tomatoes, sun-dried tomatoes, onions, capers, and other all natural ingredients. I’ll definitely be giving this a try!
Barilla Mulino Bianco Sfilati ($3.99)
An ideal complement to the pasta and pesto above — Italian breadsticks! These crunchy, oven-baked breadsticks are made with both black & green olives for a true Mediterranean flavor. They contain no artificial colors or preservatives and can be enjoyed with a meal or alone as a savory treat.
Suckerpunch Spicy Garlic Gourmet Pickles ($5.99)
Now these are some fancy pickles! They’re handcrafted in small batches using all natural, high quality ingredients — some of which you can clearly see bobbing around in the jar. They contain no high-fructose corn syrup, additives or preservative, and they’re both vegan-friendly & gluten-free.
Cauli Rice ($2.99/pack)
I’ve been buying a LOT less actual rice since discovering the awesomeness that is cauliflower rice. This is the first time I’ve seen it in shelf stable packaging, so hopefully it retains its awesomeness. The info sheet stated that the box included one of the two different flavors, but I received both.
Briannas Creamy Balsamic Dressing ($3.99)
Balsamic dressing is my favorite! (Yes, I did just watch Elf, but it really IS my favorite!) This creamy homestyle dressing is made with carefully selected ingredients including balsamic vinegar, honey, garlic, grape juice, and spices. Yum!
Good Thins “The Beet One” ($2.49)
These crunchy baked snacks are made with real beets, potatoes, wheat, balsamic vinegar, sea salt, and other natural ingredients. They contain zero artificial colors/flavors, high fructose corn syrup, or partially hydrogenated oils. Guilt-free snackin’!
Barilla Mulino Bianco Baiocchi ($2.99)
Made in Italy, these delicious sandwich cookies are filled with sweet hazelnut and chocolate cream between two rich biscuits. They’re traditionally enjoyed dipped in coffee, but can be eaten any way you see fit. 🙂
Ozery Bakery Coupon
Also included in December’s box was a coupon good for one FREE package of Ozery Bakery Morning Rounds or Snacking Rounds. I’ve never heard of these, but according to the sheet above both products are non-GMO and vegan-friendly. Hopefully I can find these locally!
I really enjoyed this month’s Degustabox! It was jam-packed as always and I loved the inclusion of so many Italian products. My favorite items this time were the Barilla Ready Pasta, Barilla Pesto, Briannas dressing, and SuckerPunch pickles. 🙂 — Remember, for a limited time you can get your first box for just $9.99 (regularly $19.99) — plus FREE shipping! — To score this awesome deal, just use coupon code “CJOFFER17” at checkout!
