November 2017 Degustabox review time!
If you haven’t heard, Degustabox is a new subscription box that sends an assortment of food and drink products to your door every month. Let’s see what’s in the November 2017 Degustabox!
As always, everything was shipped in a big box with the Degustabox logo on the side.
A peek inside!
An info sheet listed all of the items inside, as well as brief descriptions, photos, and retail prices for each one. There were two different box variations this month, so I received both info sheets and all of the products shown on them for review.
Walkers Shortbread Scottie Dogs ($4.49)
These all natural Scotland-made shortbread cookies are shaped like cute little Scottie dogs. They contain no artificial flavors, colors, or additives and are made with just 4 simple ingredients: wheat flour, butter, sugar, and salt.
Goya Flour Tortillas ($1.99)
We have taco night on an almost weekly basis, so these flour tortillas will come in handy in the very near future. The package contains 8 shelf-stable 10-inch tortillas that are free of trans fat, lard, and cholesterol. They also appear to be (hopefully) vegan-friendly. 🙂
Goya Pico de Gallo Salsa ($2.19)
An authentic Mexican salsa with plenty of chunky vegetables. Ingredients include tomatoes, onions, jalapeño peppers, tomato paste, and more. We’ll probably be saving this large jar to pair with chips for one of our holiday get togethers.
Country Archer Jerky Co. Turkey Jerky (~$3)
All natural jerky made from cage-free turkeys raised without the use of antibiotics or added hormones. It’s gluten-free, low in fat, and made in the USA.
Lovely Candy Co. Sea Salt Caramels ($2.50)
These chewy, all natural caramels are made with real butter, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, and molasses. They contain no artificial colors, flavors, or high fructose corn syrup. They’re also gluten-free and non-GMO.
Cafe Bustelo Café con Leche Instant Coffee ($2.99)
Enjoy a cup of café con leche on the go with these portable single-serve packets. Each one contains the perfect ratio of espresso-style coffee with sweetener and dairy-free creamer. Just add hot water and you’re good to go.
Bauducco Mini Panettone ($2.75)
A traditional moist holiday cake studded with candied fruits including Sun-Maid brand raisins. The cake is made using a natural leavening process which results in each one taking 52 hours to make from start to finish. I’ve actually never tried fruit cake in my life, but I have a feeling that given the opportunity, I would have picked out all of the fruit pieces and just eaten the cake parts. 😉
Milka Oreo Chocolate Candy Bar ($1.79)
This new candy bar features crunchy bits of real Oreo cookies mixed into a vanilla flavored filling and covered in smooth European chocolate. Mmm!
Rufus Teague Touch o’ Heat BBQ Sauce (sample)
Kansas City made, “damn good” bbq sauce that’s smokey, sweet, and has a touch o’ heat. Good for dipping, grilling, and more.
Bell’s Seasoning ($2.99)
An all natural, salt-free spice & herb blend consisting of rosemary, oregano, sage, ginger, and marjoram. An ideal way to add flavor to all of your favorite Thanksgiving dishes.
Note: Boxes contained ONE of the following two items:
Arteasan Yerba Mate Tea in Peach Rosemary ($2.50)
A refreshing tea drink made with yerba mate and flavored with real fruits & herbs. Each serving has just 5 calories and less than 1 gram of sugar.
Aneto Chicken Broth ($6.99)
100% natural chicken broth made with free-range chicken and fresh veggies. It’s non-GMO and contains no soy, gluten, dairy, or nuts. Perfect for stews, soups, risottos, and more.
Yet another nice sampling of full sized grocery items from Degustabox! My favorite products this month were the Goya tortillas, Goya salsa, Oreo candy bar, and Walkers shortbread cookies. — Remember, for a limited time you can get your first box for just $9.99 (regularly $19.99) — plus FREE shipping! — To score this awesome deal, just use coupon code “CJOFFER17” at checkout!
