Let’s see what’s in the September 2017 Degustabox!
As always, everything was shipped in a big box with the Degustabox logo on the side.
A peek inside!
An info sheet listed all of the items inside, as well as brief descriptions, photos, and retail prices for each one.
King Arthur Flour Lemon Bar Mix ($4.95)
I don’t think I’ve ever had a lemon bar before, so I’m looking forward to trying out this mix. The filling is made with real lemon & the bars feature a classic shortbread crust. The mix contains no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives and looks like it can be easily “veganized”. Yay!
Post Shredded Wheat Frosted Mixed Berry ($3.49)
Traditional shredded wheat cereal with a fruity twist. Made with whole grain wheat, these little squares are coated in berry-flavored frosting and have a sweet mixed berry filling. My husband enjoys the “original” shredded wheat and was happy to see this new variation in September’s Degustabox. 🙂
Angelic Bakehouse Bread Crisps ($4)
These crunchy bread crisps are made with a blend of sprouted whole grains including red wheat berries, quinoa, oat groats, rye berries, barley, and amaranth. They’re great for topping, dipping, or enjoying straight from the bag.
Reese Papaya Goldenberry Quinoa Medley ($3.99)
An on-the-go snack that features white quinoa with the sweet flavors of papaya & goldenberry. They’re non-GMO, gluten free, and vegan-friendly.
Wild Planet Albacore Wild Tuna ($4.99)
100% sustainably pole & line caught albacore tuna hand-packed and cooked only once to retain all of the natural juices in the can. Ranked #1 by Greenpeace for sustainability!
Mutti Tomato Puree ($4.49)
An all natural puree made with ripe, Italian-grown tomatoes and a pinch of salt. It’s free of skins & seeds and makes the perfect addition to sauces, soups, and traditional Italian dishes. I’m thinking of using mine to make the tomato soup recipe included on the back of this month’s Degustabox info sheet. Yum!
Goya Rice Pilaf ($1.99)
An authentic rice pilaf mix made with toasted orzo pasta, onions, garlic, and other natural ingredients. The photo on the box made me all sortsa hungry, so I was a little sad to see that it contained chicken. Aw.
Natural Sins Crispy Coconut Chips ($1.99)
Made in Costa Rica, these crunchy “chips” consist of just two ingredients: coconut and raw cane sugar. They’re vegan, gluten-free, non-GMO, and a healthy alternative to potato chips.
Lee Kum Kee Korean BBQ Stir-Fry Sauce ($3.49)
A cholesterol-free Korean bbq sauce made without any artificial flavors or high-fructose corn syrup. Add your own fresh ingredients for an easy, authentic Korean-inspired dinner.
SunRype Fruit to Go ($1)
All natural gluten-free/vegan fruit snacks made with apples, strawberries, watermelon, and natural flavors. They’re also nut-free and contains just 50 calories per serving.
Another nice assortment of snacks & pantry staples from Degustabox! My favorite items this month were the lemon bar mix, shredded wheat, bread crisps, quinoa cups, and fruit snacks. 🙂 — Remember, for a limited time you can get your first box for just $9.99 (regularly $19.99) — plus FREE shipping! — To score this awesome deal, just use coupon code “CJOFFER17” at checkout!
